"We stayed in the Garden Suite. The Suite was of perfect size with perfect amenities. However, the breakfast served at the main hotel was below average. This was our sixth year in Hydra and we are very familiar with pricing. Given its rather further location, pricing is on the high side. The garden was nice however there was cat piss smell in the garden. Although I am a cat lover, I d rather not have this smell having paid over 400 eur / night."

"An extraordinary resort unlike anywhere else on Hydra. Gracious owners, amazing staff and incredible food. The location is overwhelmingly beautiful and so tranquil. The resort is surrounded by great trails with amazing views. They have a boat available for guests, but also a short walk into Hydras central port. Tasos and and Manolis were so kind. We cant wait to return."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my three night stay at Phaedra Hotel in Hydra and I recommend it highly! My bedroom was spacious and I loved listening to the clip clop of horses & donkeys from the first floor window. I also enjoyed the breakfasts on the second floor terrace. The hotel was centrally located to everything and I always felt safe walking everywhere at night as a single woman. What made this experience a standout for me was that the owner, Hilda, went above and beyond to help me solve a problem that arose at the very beginning of my trip. I did not realize that I had accidentally left my passport in the safe at Phaedra Hotel until I was checking in to a hotel in Athens and I was to fly to a different island to join a retreat the next day. Obviously, without my passport, I would have not been able to do any of this and financial and logistical complications would have ensued. Fortunately, Hilda very kindly and quickly sent my passport (via donkey or human foot, not sure which) to the last ferry leaving the island for the day. The ferry then transported my passport to a taxi in Piraeus and the taxi brought it directly to my Athens hotel. All of this kindness occurring while I wandered around Athens and dined on a delicious meal! I had the MOST spectacular 24 days in Greece and Hilda made this possible because of her big heart. "Hotel Miranda was a fabulous spot to explore Hydra for 36 hours, we would have stayed longer if we could! Yanna and her team went over and above to make our experience amazing! They very kindly allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel while we awaited the evening ferry. Breakfast fabulous and the rooms very authentic to the grand mansion - the hotel has been in the same family for over 65 years!"
