"We used this hotel during our trip along the Shimanami Kaido. The parking lot is free and spacious, so it's fine even if you arrive late 🅿️. There's a Yoshinoya next door and a Kura Sushi across the street, so you won't have any trouble finding food! There are also supermarkets and convenience stores a short drive away 🏪. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The large public bath is very spacious and clean, perhaps recently renovated. There were no amenities provided, so bring your own lotion, moisturizer, and toothbrush. In the lounge, you can enjoy alcoholic beverages and light snacks in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was also very delicious and satisfying."

"I initially thought this place was too remote and difficult to reach by public transportation, so I took a taxi and spent a little money, which made me want to give it a bad review. But the moment I saw the hotel facilities and the scenery, everything else disappeared. On a clear day, the rooms and restaurant offer absolutely stunning views! The sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking. The food is superb; definitely choose a one-night stay with two or three meals a day. Every meal was incredibly filling, and the food was delicious. The rooms are spacious and well-designed. The only downside is the lack of a natural hot spring; otherwise, I would definitely choose to stay here for three days straight."

"All rooms are said to have ocean views, but room 305 doesn’t have an ocean view… The sea can be seen in the distance from the bathroom??? Is it because I used Trip to stay a little cheaper? I was very disappointed with the view that felt like a small room. The sauna glass is not clean, so the view from the sauna is not very good... Nevertheless, I was impressed by the staff's consideration and kindness and the way they did their best to give even 10 stars less. It was a very happy trip, especially thanks to the staff who said Nepal was their hometown."

"This is a good old Japanese inn. It was well maintained and cleaned, so I had a very comfortable stay. Above all, the food was lavish and everything was carefully prepared and delicious. The hot spring water was highly alkaline, and although it wasn't that large, it was a comfortable space with the river and greenery stretching out before you. Despite being crowded with tourists and foreigners everywhere we went, I was able to spend my time there in peace. Our taxi driver told us that the number of visitors to Donkawa Onsen is declining, but it's a place I hope will continue forever."

"Nice home comfortable to stay, good location by the seaside with supermarket ready at the back of the house! Sauna and ice bath available too! The only thing is the kitchen is very small to cook. Would recommend for group travelling but not too much cooking! Or otherwise the BBQ grill is available. "

"This house is located on the Shimanami Kaido bike route. The location is convenient. The hostess is a pleasant, friendly woman. However, check in room only until 7 pm. This is inconvenient if you are cycling there for the first time and can't time what time you will get there. Also, the house has a shared kitchen which is quite dirty, cramped and cluttered with miscellaneous junk. Toilets and showers are shared. They were clean, but not particularly new and quite cramped. We feel that this hostel needs to be renovated or the price of the room needs to be lowered."
