"The location is excellent, 2-3mins from the station. Room is well-presented, clean and tidy etc. Bed was comfy. Staff were friendly and welcoming in all my engagements. I'm only deducting some service points as the breakfast buffet was quite chaotic (no bowls, no glasses, food run out etc). However, it was exceptional value for where it is, what I got and when I stayed. Well-recommended."

"I thought this was a lovely hotel, with very friendly staff who gave a good service. My room was larger than expected and charming given that I was in the basement. I had a skylight in one part of the room which helped to bring natural light into the room. The bed was comfortable and the room was decorated to a high standard. I would come here again if I was returning to Brighton."

"The location was great and the room was spacious! I have arrived 40 mins prior to check in time they were all chill about it and let me check in early. One thing on heating system is that even tho it seems like you can set the heatings manually, it just doesnt work and you have to ask them to turn it on or off, when it’s on, it is not adjustable manually so you have no control over the room temperature. Second thing is there were only half roll of a toilet paper but there is a corner shop 2 mins away so i had to sort it myself. Would stay again"

"This hotels frontage echo’s bygone splendour and is perfectly situated on the sea front. However, the hotel is ready for refurb and I certainly wouldn’t stay in the annex again (that’s the bit at the back without a sea view). Out room 254 was not what I expect from a Mercure - we had 2 extra single beds and a tatty sofa chair in our higgledy-piggledy “double” room!
However, the staff were excellent, very polite and welcoming. The breakfast was superb and again the restaurant staff were lovely and professional."

"I booked for myself and my sister for a night away for our Birthdays.
We had a lovely stay, our room was upgraded and we had a wonderful sea view. We were given a lovely gift which was so kind and thoughtful and really made our stay extra special.
The room was large, with a seating area and a very huge comfy bed.
Everything we needed for a relaxing night away. Robes & Slippers Perfect
Buffet breakfast was very tasty. Staff friendly and helpful.
We shall definitely return.

MMisafir KullanıcıThe location is excellent, 20 mins walk from Brighton Station, it is along the seaside, very relaxing and all scenic spots are within walking distance e.g. i360, Brighton Palace Pier, Zip Line, Beachside Train.... 1 thing to remind is the view of the standard room there is terrible, NO VIEW at all, it is facing a high wall closely and the window is very dirty, the feeling like being in a confined space or badly in a prison! Though the hotel is old but in good maintenance, the overall decor is elegant.

It was mums 60th birthday who I came with and the staff had sorted 2 drinks vouchers to use in the bar and we came back into the room with a slice of cake with a birthday note! Honestly so perfect and it being right on the seafront is stunning too :)

MMisafir KullanıcıWe had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Brighton. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and housekeeping refreshed it every day, which we really appreciated. The service was outstanding — the staff genuinely make an effort to ensure their guests are comfortable and well looked after.
We had a small request regarding the kettle in our room, as the original one had a bit of limescale build-up. The front desk handled the issue immediately and even went above and beyond by providing a brand-new kettle. This level of responsiveness really impressed us.
The only minor downside is that our room was connected to the neighbouring room through a shared internal door. Although it was locked on both sides, the sound insulation was not as strong.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would gladly return. Friendly service and great comfort!

Llann94High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very comfortable.
