"Luckily this onsen hotel has a Family Mart right next to it. Everything there is clean. Onsen on 6/F is also very clean, loved it very much. The best part was to bring my family to the Yunessun swimming facility right across the road. Free entry if you get tickets from the hotel front desk."

"Otel, Gora İstasyonu'na çok yakın, sadece 5 dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde. Bölge düz, bu yüzden bagajları itmek kolay. Oda harikaydı! Ocak ve tabaklar vardı ve her şey özenle düzenlenmişti. Banyo tezgahı da genişti ve cilt bakımı ve makyaj için bolca alan vardı. Banyoda ayrıca istediğiniz zaman ıslanmak için mükemmel bir kaplıca küveti vardı. Banyo malzemelerinin tamamı bitkiseldi ve çok rahat hissettiriyordu. Otelin suyu ücretsizdi, bu yüzden susadığınızda içebiliyordunuz. Kahvaltı, Japon ve Batı yemeklerinin bir karışımıydı. Akşam yemeği ise üç ana yemekten oluşan yarı açık büfeydi: ördek, domuz güveci ve balık güveci. Açık büfenin geri kalanı geniş bir seçkiye sahipti ve ayrıca geniş bir alkol yelpazesi de vardı. Yakınlarda, cam eşyalarınızı kendiniz yapabileceğiniz bir alana sahip, güzelce bakımlı, peyzajlı bir park olan Gora Park bulunuyor. Fiyatlar Çin'dekinden çok daha uygun. Çocuklu aileler için harika bir yer. Eksileri: Demiryolu hattına yakın olduğu için geçen trenlerden hafif bir titreşim oluyor. Ayrıca biraz pahalı. İki yetişkin ve iki çocuk için kahvaltı ve akşam yemeği dahil iki gece için 9.000 NT$'ın üzerinde harcadık. Genel olarak, şiddetle tavsiye ederim. Hem hizmet hem de ortam, gerçek bir tatil hissi veriyor. Tamamen dinlendiriciydi."

"One of our favourite place in Japan, onsen directly on the balcony in your room. They provide with everything from kids slippers to any amenities you can think of they have it. We went to the water park just across the building. Eateries inside the restaurant & other just nearby. Suitable for family to stay in, my boys love this place. Free drinks & ice creams. Breakfast was sumptuous. Just love this place."

"It is one of the best hotel ever visited, the location is great, near to Gora station, direct bus to Gotemba premium outlet, the room is nice and clean with personal onsen, there are 3 private onsen can be used freely if available. There are even hand grind coffee equipment in the room for you to make coffee. Snack, drink, beer and all beverages are free. Their breakfast and dinner are outstanding, the dinner is 8 course cuisine, take almost 2 hours to complete. Highly recommended. Of course all the services come with a price of almost 40000 yen per person per day, but is really worth it. Will stay in the hotel again if revisit Hakone."

"Hotel experience was mixed. Positive: the hotel site has a lot of history, the Japanese garden was beautiful and the best part of the hotel. The included meals were good but not spectacular - yet the setting with a view of the Japanese garden was beautiful Negative: the facility was dated with little catch up updares. Only one lock key can be provided n made my wife n my visit to the Onsen very inconvenient as we had to wait for each other all times. The outdoor access for men Onsen had to go thru a common area for men n women so need to re-clothe to get thru, not great. Facility for the Onsen bath were dated n worn out. The in room lighting was dim n equipment facility visibly outdated. The worst was I discovered a big size cockcroach in the bathroom when I got back from Onsen bath in the morning. Smashed it n picture enclosed. We had high expectations coming in to the hotels with strong recommendations by Japanese friends. Was quite underwhelmed. I had stayed at other well rated Ryokans before n most have met or exceeded my expectation. This one fell far short of it."

"I haven’t stayed in this kind of hotel before, so I don’t have much to compare it to — but our experience was great. We did the typical sightseeing route around Hakone. While you can get closer to the Mount Fuji, it takes more time and an earlier start. The hotel had everything we needed, so we didn’t even need to go to a store. Breakfast and dinner were both filling and had a good variety. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had a nice view of the station and mountains. The hotel is right next to the station, which made getting around very easy — and the trains didn’t bother us at all, the sound was even kind of calming. The public onsen baths were excellent, so we didn’t actually need a private bath in the room."

"Nice place, helpful staff, gave us the opportunity to enjoy onsen late night when we arrived. Room was spacious, with all necessary staff for short stay, only downside was a bit of a sewer smell in the room."

"We loved our experience is this hotel! We had such a lovely evening with our friends an and enjoyed the sunset over the lake- what a perfect ending to the day. We booked the best rooms (kind of by accident but so happy we did that). They’re the top floor rooms with the balconies. Worth it! The breakfast was also truly fantastic- lots of variety and excellent quality choices, including fresh delicious fruit. The onsen was also a delight."

"Absolutely love this place! The staff are very friendly, and the onsen is clean and well-maintained. There are 3 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools, along with a steam room and sauna, which make for a relaxing experience. The facility is open for both day trips and overnight stays, but staying overnight is much better for a more chill and leisurely time. There’s a massage chair available, but it requires payment. Breakfast is also delicious and definitely worth it. The only downside is the location—it’s not very convenient and requires some walking. If you’re traveling light, it’s manageable. They do have a payable shuttle bus, but the timing isn’t great. Walking can be pleasant if the weather’s nice, or you can opt for a taxi. Overall, I’ll definitely book this place again for the relaxing atmosphere!"

"We stayed at Byakudan and loved it. The staff were very kind and high quality of service. From the moment we walked in, we were attended to in great detail and provided excellent service and amenities. We stayed in the Jin Suite and it was very spacious, comfortable, clean and relaxing. The furnishings were a nice blend of Japanese and Western. The open air private onsen was large and private. Every dish in the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious. We will definitely come back to stay at Byakudan in Hakone Gora again!"
