His great-grandfather Halt, who lived during the Russian-Turkish war in Turkey, was familiar with Duchess Ukhtomskaya. History is silent about what kind of relationship connected Ukhtomskaya and Halt at that time, it is only known that a rich patroness bestowed on him the title of duke. Arriving in Yaroslavl, Mikhail Khaltyan found out about the existence of this historical place for his family and ensured that the mansion Ukhtomskoy was given the status of an architectural monument of the 19th century, which is now under the protection of UNESCO. On the fragment of the surviving artifact, the letter H is clearly visible - a message destined by fate to the descendants of Halt, calling not to let the history of the princely family disappear without a trace and dissolve in the past.
