"In the hotel's restaurant. We had to wait some considerable time to be attended to, we ended up seating ourselves, getting our own menus and water, whilst the sole server juggled his other responsibilities. After a very ordinary fish & chips meal, with the thinnest fries we've ever seen we received a bill for the equivalent of AUD $90 to which not only had a 4% kitchen charge been added but additionally a further 18% service charge. Neither the meal or service justified this charge in any way. We left what we considered to be a fair and reasonable payment which more than covered the cost. For the AUD$ 75 cost we could have fed four people with a far better quality meal. We had been unable to use our drinks voucher in the restaurant, so after the meal we went to the bar in the same hotel to use our vouchers to get a drink. Whilst there a very disgruntled server from the restaurant and some random woman from the bar came and accosted us, snatching a jam jar of tap water we had brought round with us to finish at the bar. We were basically accused of stealing a jam jar of tap water whilst sitting at a bar in the same hotel, as paying guests! A waiter from the restaurant hung around the entire time just to ensure he got his jam jar back! Next morning we loaded our own cases onto the free shuttle bus. The driver tried to dismantle our cases, we asked him to leave our cases to allow space for other guests & we wanted them to stand in the luggage space adjacent to the rack, as they had done on the way to the hotel. The driver began shouting at us, threw a tantrum & went to get his boss, who came out & saw no issue with our cases. The driver then began driving recklessly, racing round corners and braking heavily. Guests had to tell him to slowdown and stop driving dangerously. He then made all the guests remove their own bags unassisted after we informed him his behaviour certainly did not warrant any tips! A shocking & horrible end to our holiday & not a very good advertisement for the USA Dreadful tipping culture of entitlement even if service does not warrant it! ."

"It is a capsule hotel, so it is less private than a regular hotel, but more so than a hostel. You have a partition, so other guests can't easily see you when sleeping. Now, this is on the 14th floor, and the view is pretty good from the lounge. It's pretty easy to book, and has a decent bed, charger and tv. I didn't see AC controls in the pod, but it cooled down at night. Also, bring earmuffs and sleeping aides if you are easily bothered by other people making loud noises when you sleep."

"Location is great! Hotel is quite new. There’s a Starbucks and ABC stores at the lobby. Staff are friendly. Pool is great too."

"Stayed here for 1 week,location is great. Right on Waikiki. This hotel doesn’t have its own beach but offers free sitting chairs to bring with you to the beach and towels. Takes 20secs to the beach.Really tall hotel so you can see sunset over the ocean,staff is SUPER friendly. Building is old like all of them on Waikiki,furniture needs updating,mattress is hard but they give you 4 pillows,asked for our room to be freshened up when came back sheets and duvet cover never got changed.Asked next day to freshen up and left sheets same way.Not sure why,cleaning staff spoke perfect English!Mon&Wed they got farmers market downstairs,outrageous prices a Coconut for $20US, a small cup of fruits for $20US,youll also find bracelets and other junk! Overall it’s affordable and central,we didn’t eat on the resort nor used their spa so can’t recommend!"

"Sorry but it seens I have more negative than positive to say: The fact that you charge such a huge deposit upon check in is ridiculous, especially since I can't charge anything like room service to the room! I've never seen a deposit like yours before! Plus the girl who checked me out said it would be refunded instantly...nope still haven't received it. The hotel location is perfect and the ABC store is perfect too. The bed, shower, and TV are great. The toilet is much too low. The restaurant on the 3rd floor has a great view but both the food and service are meh. Do not stalk me and ask me if I want my room cleaned. The sign on my door already answers this question. The girl who checked me out was very unfriendly. The guys out front were the friendliest and most helpful both"

"The location is amazing, very close to Waikiki Beach. Another great thing was the balcony with an eccellent view: Diamond Head and the Ocean. Room itself was quite dated and bit rusty, but nothing horrible or too much disappointing."

"located in a quieter part near Waikiki Resort. Love the night view of the harbor. Enjoy the two restaurants in the hotel. The staff are nice too. High quality of bedding and decoration. Very good location to view the sunset. Disappointment: Besides the location is in between Sunset beach and Ala Moana Beach, neither fit new swimmers from my opinion."

"This was the best value hotel we stayed at during our stay (we also stayed at Hawaiian Village and Aulani). Location, quality of service and amenities. Had enough to keep kids entertained without being as overwhelmingly busy at Hilton. Enough space to relax, the onsite beach is small but always empty. Fitness centre is big. Only issue was wifi connectivity - lacked solid connection in either the room or generally around the resort however the hotel kindly gave us a portable device for free which helped somewhat. Highlights included kids cinema and movie, pool tables and other free games and walking distance from downtown with some of the best restaurants (highly advised to book ahead)."

"夏威夷威基基麗思卡爾頓酒店公寓在攜程上歸類在五星酒店中套房60多平米6800元人民幣不包含早餐。酒店除了位置好之外，大堂設施、裝修水準、服務人員素質也就是日本酒店的三星而已。我們定的面海套房，大床和梳化床出奇的軟，住到第三晚給客房打電話三次，每次不同的人過來看是説馬上解決卻一去不復返，再次電話催促終於兩位男服務人員一起過來把大床墊子翻轉背面朝上才覺得是正常的軟硬度；繼續等候他們再解決梳化床偏軟的問題，兩位男服務員説好的馬上回來卻再也不見蹤影；直到有一位女管家巡查正好告訴她我們還在等候解決，同樣答應的好好的也是有去無回。不得已又打電話給前台來了一位男服務員，他又離開十分鐘返回了，説可以把大床另外一半床墊（國外很多雙人床是用兩個單人床墊套上一個大床墊套固定着睡覺可以避免翻身互相影響）放在梳化床上硬的那面朝上，最後也衹能這樣。房間設施很簡陋最多三星水平，餐廳早餐就是多種食物混合在一起淋上當地什麼醬永遠一個口味，隨便兩個人早餐點餐加上20%小費也是六七十美元；酒店餐廳吃箇中餐點個幾盤子加小費就是160美元味道也大同小異。剛住了日本五星酒店再轉機全日空商務艙飛夏威夷，這酒店水平和服務差距真不是一星半點，這趟旅程最大的敗筆就是選擇了這家所謂的五星酒店。再沒有下次。"
