"I stayed at the Muthu hotel for two nights with my husband, starting from March 21st, 2026. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was in a quiet location with a very comfortable bed; it was clean and perfect for a relaxing break. We also visited the leisure club and were very pleased with the facilities. "5 star hotel?? Not even close…. Lunch on arrival was ok but bread was sent back as there was blue mould on it. Came back for dinner to sit at tables that had not been cleaned and to be told they had run out of pasta, larger, mashed potato and strawberry ice cream. The food was average at best and 2 dishes were incorrect as the waitress tried to remember the order rather than write it down. Next day, the breakfast was left sitting in a table covered in flies for hours on end and tables were not cleared. Some of the food was well past its best and the staff didn’t seem to care much. We cancelled all bookings with them for food and ate elsewhere only to hear they had an electrical issue in the kitchen so were unable to serve any food anyway. Rooms were not cleaned or towels changed. Wonderful location and the accommodation was great but give the food a miss."

"We hired the whole guest house for a family get together. We cannot fault Lattice Lodge. Martin greeted us on arrival and showed us around and explained how to use everything and the local facilities. We found the whole guest house to be exceptionally clean. The rooms were comfortable and provided everything you would need whilst staying there. We all had a good nights sleep in the comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and we made use of the kitchen to make a full roast dinner for us all. We moved the table and chairs in the dining room to allow us to sit together as a family. The sitting room was comfortable with nice soft furnishings and everything you would need keep you entertained. Lattice Lodge is very well situated and we found it was an easy walk into Ipswich. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lattice Lodge and would highly recommend staying there."

"The hotel I chose temporarily was unexpectedly bad. The area around the hotel was under renovation. The shower in my room was broken, and the facilities were very old and dirty. To be honest, it's probably worse than the 7 days in China."
