"We have been doing our motorcycle training here in Ipswich so have stayed at the Novotel for two weekends now. The staff have been so friendly and accommodating - we’ve really enjoyed the stay. Having a bath in the room has also been a treat. The rooms are well maintained, clean and very comfortable. We’ve enjoyed the pool table and the bar. We’re looking forward to coming back again. The hotel is also very conveniently located."

"The room is old dated. Lack of attention very old stained furniture. The toilet was dirty. Asked to be cleaned to come back and all they did was give me clean towels. Bed sheets full of hairs. Which they changed after I asked to be changed. They did not vacuum the room. Carpets all over the room was old and stained/ dirty. Breakfast was lacking on choices and restaurant carpets dirty seats old with stains. So not pleasant to eat there. The highlight of this stay was the swimming pool facility. Really lovely big and nice."

"Did the job. Easy check in. They have a 24 hour check in desk which is great as I was arriving past midnight. A good buffet breakfast is available also until 9pm which was an extra £12 but worth it. Clean, had everything you needed and easy check out. A great stay for a night."

"Lovely quiet location, which everyone on site respected. Stayed in The stall cabin for two nights, nice and comfortable. Has plates forks knives bottle opener. A mini fridge just a fraction bigger than 1 pint of fresh milk size. So if you plan to take a few bits needed for the fridge (like we did) make sure to keep to a minimum. Another tip (these cabins creek and rock quite loudly) 😅 the grounds are superb for an explore with plenty of nature to be heard and seen. Booking the spa sauna hot tub etc for very straight forward. The Bikes you can hire free of charge need a little tlc. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Glen one of the maintenance guy who just clocked from shift, was very kind in getting us a champagne bucket with ice and delivered himself. Glen was very informative on local surrounding places to visit and see and didn’t disappoint. So thank you Glen. The continental breakfast was full of options when it was there. A few times on both days we were at breakfast few people asked for bits that had been not refilled (only downfall) Otherwise it was amazing and very tasty. We shall definitely be back, Thank you to all at Retreat East"

"Should warn customers when they book that the Brewers Fayre on site is no good for mealtimes. It will be closing in Sept but we weren't forewarned and unfortunately went to this dirty filthy place for our evening meal. The meal was warm, overdone and minimal. The surroundings were filthy and generally unkempt and the staff aren't bothered by any of it. Premier Inn should tell people how bad it is because the staff knew when we raised our disappointment with them!"

"Martin is a great host' Very responsive' self check in easy and hassle free' located in a good area' near shops and food place' town centre 20 minutes walk or bus 66 every 20 minutes. Rooms are clean and bright and cleaned daily. Nothing bad about this place' if your looking for a fair priced place to stay this is it."

"The hotel I chose temporarily was unexpectedly bad. The area around the hotel was under renovation. The shower in my room was broken, and the facilities were very old and dirty. To be honest, it's probably worse than the 7 days in China."
