"The room was clean and tidy, with twin beds, probably 130cm wide. The pillows were just right, not too soft nor too firm, and the duvet was of a suitable thickness. Soundproofing was also excellent. The breakfast selection was rich and varied. The braised pork with mushrooms was surprisingly delicious; I even had a couple of bites of lean meat first thing in the morning – truly savory! If you're in a hurry, you can also grab a simple takeaway breakfast with milk and cake. The service was great. I had a late flight, and they kindly gave me an extended check-out time. Five-star review. I saw the rime ice, watched the Errenzhuan show, cuddled a snow fox, went ice fishing, rode a horse, and visited the Ice and Snow World. It's been an amazing trip, time to head back!"

"SONG JIANG BONANZA WINNING HOTEL — From Smoke Signals to Sacred Silence Arrival & First Sniff This old dog finally flopped down in Jilin City, relieved to rest my paws at the grandly named Song Jiang Bonanza Winning Hotel. “Winning,” I thought—until my non-smoking room greeted me with a stale tobacco haze. One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. "Super new, super clean and very cost-effective accommodation. I will stay here again next time I come. Location: The B&B is located in the third phase of the resort. Although it is farther from the ski resort than the first and second phases, it is less than ten minutes' walk to the ski hall. You can also find some hotels and convenience stores along the way. Don’t worry if you don’t want to walk, the B&B will provide a free on-call car service, which is very considerate. Environment: The apartment building of the B&B is very new, and the entrance of the building is carefully decorated. It is very beautiful especially when the lights are turned on at night. When I got out of the car with my suitcase and approached the apartment on the first day, I felt the strong atmosphere, tiredness and coldness. It also eased a lot. Hygiene: The entire room was newly renovated at the end of 2023. The decoration is simple but very clean and hygienic. The spacious suite is very comfortable to live in, and the heating is sufficient. You can wear short sleeves in the room. Facilities: The house is equipped with a washing machine, stove, and refrigerator. Disposable towels are provided in the bathroom. The smart TV is easy to connect. You will not be bored when you return to the house after skiing at night. Facilities: There is a breakfast shop and a large restaurant downstairs. The buns at the bun shop on the first floor are delicious. For two days in a row, we calmly had breakfast at home before changing clothes and going to the ski resort. It was very convenient. Service: The entire check-in and check-out are all self-service, which is very hassle-free. The customer service staff are very attentive and respond in a timely manner. The cleaning lady is also very enthusiastic."

"This truly is the best hotel in Jilin city, full of thoughtful touches. My girlfriend and I met in Jilin, and a year later, we celebrated her birthday here again. A huge thanks to the housekeeping staff who decorated our room in advance; it was such a pleasant surprise when we opened the door. The room was also very spacious with a beautiful river view. We extended our stay for another night, and the housekeeper diligently cleaned our room and replaced towels and amenities while we were out the next day. Although the hotel has some history, this dedicated and passionate team ensures it maintains its high standards. 👍"

"Booked a suite. Before we even arrived, the front desk called to ask my child's age so they could prepare the room and a little gift. My child was thrilled (even though the toy was for toddlers, haha). Upon entering the hotel, we were warmly greeted and given a rundown of the hotel facilities and dining options, along with recommendations for local activities, food, and entertainment. Breakfast is from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM. For both days, my child woke up late, and we were able to pack breakfast to take back to our room. The restaurant manager's service was exceptional! The hotel room was spacious enough for three adults and one child, absolutely perfect. It's not far to see the rime ice in the morning, and it's easy to get a taxi."
