"The front desk staff were very polite, and the restaurant staff and cleaning staff on the first floor also greeted us warmly. They were also very kind to the children, and I was very impressed with the service! The meals at the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner, were Japanese style, generous in portion size, and delicious. The sashimi was especially fresh and delicious! There were many ingredients unique to Kagoshima, and I savored every bite, realizing that eating local food is one of the joys of traveling. (*´꒳`*) Furthermore, it's within walking distance of the Ioworld Aquarium and the Sakurajima Ferry Terminal, and a FamilyMart and tram stop are only about a 5-minute walk away, so I think it's a very good hotel in terms of location! (^^) However, I couldn't help but notice the age of the building and facilities... Those who are somewhat fastidious might find it bothersome. The unit bathroom in the guest room looks very clean at first glance, but there's a seam in the bathroom wall? There was some kind of black stain—whether rust, mold, or just a gap—right where the water hit, and it bothered me a little. Also, the base of the door guard on the front door was broken, so I couldn't lock it from the inside. The most disappointing thing was the public bath. My first reaction upon entering the changing room was, "Huh? A public bath???" because it was so small (^^;). There were about 10 baskets on shelves arranged in 3 rows of 5-6 tiers. In addition, there was a small sink and a shoe rack about 1 meter wide, but if more than 3 adults started changing in there, it would be incredibly cramped and everyone would be drenched in sweat. The changing room was probably less than 6 tatami mats in size. The bath itself was also very cramped, with only 5 showers arranged in a U-shape, so you'd get splashed with water from the person next to you. And what I absolutely couldn't stand was the bottles of rinse-in shampoo and body soap provided (；ω；) They were covered in black mold and I didn't want to touch them. I wanted to soak in the bath for a long time, but various things bothered me, so I got out after about 3 minutes... Then, two adults came in while I was changing, so the changing room became crowded, and instead of my sweating subsided, I ended up sweating even more, so I quickly changed and went back to my room... That would be unbearable in a bath during the summer (；ω；) The service and location deserve a perfect 5 stars (in fact, it's almost too many stars), but I'll rate the cleanliness, facilities, and amenities this way... I think it's more suitable for a solo trip than for a family vacation!"

"The big plus for the apartment is the view of the volcano across the bay. It’s a short tram ride from the train station and an easy walk to the ferry across to Sakurajima. The owner doesn’t speak English, but it is very easy and quick to communicate via her daughter. The accommodation itself is well equipped - good to have a washing machine - but it is all very basic. For the price, we were happy with our stay."

"It's an old hotel, and the wooden furniture in the room is worn out. The front desk staff were very polite, but... the funniest part was the buffet restaurant. In all my travels to Japan, this is the first time I've encountered such an unfriendly attitude. I saw from the original description that it was meant to serve Chinese guests, but a young, thin staff member in the restaurant actually said they don't serve Chinese people (and with a very bad attitude). Even when I asked the front desk to intervene, it was useless. I don't know what Trip.com's legal team is doing; they just said there's no evidence. Anyway, I advise everyone to avoid this hotel. It's a shame the polite front desk staff were wasted. Although they apologized repeatedly when I checked out, the bad impression won't disappear. If you absolutely have to stay at this hotel, choose the Kaiun Japanese restaurant for dining; they are much more polite."

"This was my first trip to Kagoshima, Kyushu, and your hotel's setting was absolutely stunning, offering distant views of Sakurajima volcano. The hot springs within the hotel also have excellent water quality, especially the open-air bath where you can gaze at Sakurajima. If the weather is good, you can even catch the sunrise around 5:30 AM, truly experiencing the majestic power of nature! The hotel's buffet breakfast lived up to its reputation and was definitely worth the price! Plus, there's a free shuttle bus service daily from Kagoshima-Chuo Station to the hotel. All in all, it's a high-quality hotel well worth staying at for anyone visiting Kagoshima."
