The shopping street around is never lively, but there are shops that can taste the yuki of Genkai Nada, including a sushi shop with Michelin stars. Breakfast is at the cafe on the first floor. The toast set, bread and thick cut bacon were delicious. There is no parking lot, the station north exit parking lot is recommended, 500 yen to 12 hours. It was a comfortable Karatsu stay.

The Japanese style room was spacious with big windows that you can see a peaceful sea and enjoy a sunset view. The tatami mats were well prepaid that you just spread them out, you could enjoy a comfort sleep. The inn was easly to access to restaurants and shopping malls by within minutes of driving. There was Japanese massage for body near Aeon Shopping Mall where the price is only about 3000 yens per hr., bargaining price in Japan. The breakfast was traditional Japanese style with a bottle of fresh salad, enough for most people. The ladies were helpful that I thank them very much to help taking the luggage suitcase upstair. There are free carparks just at the other side of the road. Highly recommended.

We chose this hotel as part of a stopover, so we could visit nearby Yobuko (to eat squid). Looking at the Japanese travel sites, it was unclear to me what the difference was between the east and west wing, but I'm so glad to have chosen the east wing which turns out to be their newer addition with premium amenities such as a communal onsen bath by gender and a co-ed rooftop thermal pool/bath that you can go to in your bathing suit. This hotel appears to be owned by DHC, which is a Japanese cosmetics manufacturer because everything in the hotel bears their brand. The nice thing is that their products are very stellar and they are readily available. The communal bath is particularly well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial wash etc. They also have a full spa facility with steam and dry sauna, aromatherapy rooms etc It was also a pleasure to have access to the beautiful baths and pool almost exclusively. We spent a lot of evenings after dinner soaking on the rooftop, listening to the sound of the waves. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk away from the center of the city, but it is a beautiful route that takes you past the castle. The entire experience far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

The building itself is quite old, and it feels old, especially around the water. Hospitality is not bad. There is no convenience store near the hotel, and PET water and tea can be purchased at the front desk for ¥ 100. There is only one fixed-route bus per hour, so the range of action is limited unless you are a car. The bed in the double room is too small and the two are too crowded. I hope that Ctrip can mark the size of the bed when I give the double room (I see that the size of the double bed is marked on the booking). In addition, the distance between the hotel and the train station seems to be a little bit longer than what is marked on the Internet.

The room was very good and very clean. But the check-in, there is a problem with the Ctrip process, and there is no connection with Japan. Those who don't understand Japanese can't stay at all. This is a big problem

The room is well maintained, the facilities are the same as the general hot spring hotel, one berth and two meals, the food quality is very high, very fresh, the portion is also very sufficient, and I will definitely stay at Dawang Pavilion again.

We splurged and stayed at the Mizuno Ryokan to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. We were driving and it took a little while to find it because it is tucked in an alley behind a school. However, well worth the hunt! It is right on the beach with a fabulous view out to offshore islands. The staff is amazing in how they try to cater to your every need. English is spoken but we did a lot of pantomime as well. The food was fantastic; each course was a new experience in how to prepare Japanese cuisine and we enjoyed it all - even the squid that wasn't quite dead yet! All fresh, small portions but so much that we could not have eaten more at the end.
