"We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to the hotel's perfect location and outstanding service. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable, even allowing us a late check-out, which we greatly appreciated. The hotel itself was very clean, and we particularly enjoyed the sparkling swimming pool. While there wasn't a breakfast buffet, the made-to-order options were delicious, with a great selection including fried rice, English breakfast, and pancakes. For its prime location and hospitality, we would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back."

"Khmer tipi bir bungalovda kaldık, daha çok kamp tipiydi. Çantalarımızı koyacak mobilya bile yok, bir yatak, bir raf, bir vantilatör ve bir cibinlik nakit olarak 20 dolara alacağınız tek şey bu 😏. Bungalovda sıhhi tesisat yoktu ve dahası ortak sıhhi tesisatlar kirliydi, kullanabilmek için temizlemek zorunda kaldık. Scooter kiralarsanız başka yerde 5 dolar yerine 7 dolar oluyor. Mekanın bakımı yapılmıyor, yollardaki yanmış ampuller değiştirilmiyor, çok yazık çünkü park ve yüzme havuzu buranın cazibesinin bir parçası. Aynı fiyata, yan tarafta, güzel bir banyo, klima, bungalov terasında hamak ve deniz manzaralı muhteşem yüzme havuzu bulunan süper konforlu bir bungalov ve scooter başına 5 dolar alacaksınız. "

"This place is divine. Very small (I think only 8 rooms) and no it’s not on the waterside (but that’s a good thing). This place is about a 15 min walk to the crab market, 10 min to the national park, 10 min walk to sailing club … note there is no “town” as such so don’t look for being “in town”. For westerners there is no 711 or shopping street. It’s just one big food stalls and hammocks. But Tara lodge is unique. Beautiful pool, huge rooms, amazing restaurant and the staff (Jim especially) cannot do enough for you. We were here for 2 nights and we were the only guests (Cambodian election). We are in our 60’s from Australia and we walked 8km or more around Kep national park. There is a “convenience” store at end of the street which sells everything but the wine and beer at the hotel was great. Food was divine. The chocolate fondue… don’t share! 😀"

"The establishment is run by an elderly couple, clearly overwhelmed by the management. Every little problem escalates into a major argument, and communication is confusing. We were criticized for a late departure, even though an agreement had been reached that very morning. Incomprehensible. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired: numerous insects, including some very large ones, in the room. Even for those used to the tropics, it was shocking. We suffered a series of bites during the night, and not just from mosquitoes. Another problem: as soon as you leave the room, everything shuts off, including the refrigerator. It's impossible to recharge anything or keep drinks cold. No milk for coffee, because "there isn't any in Kep"... We had to insist heavily to get some. Finally, the scooter rental ($7/night) turned into a conflict: they tried to charge us for an extra night, despite our early departure. We left feeling uneasy. Perhaps it's time to hand over the reins to people more capable of managing this type of establishment."
