"Gosho-bo is conveniently located right next to an orange souvenir shop, a common stop on the way from Kyoto to Arima. Upon check-in, guests are asked to change into slippers for use throughout the ryokan. The luggage service is excellent; they bring your bags to your room upon arrival and down to the lobby after check-out, saving you the effort of carrying them up or down stairs. Both breakfast and dinner were generous and delicious. The restaurant boasts a charmingly retro atmosphere, with a vintage feel that is impeccably maintained. The public Kinsen (Golden Spring) bath was wonderful. It's a semi-mixed bath, and my skin felt incredibly smooth after soaking. However, a family member who was with me developed mild allergic reactions like peeling skin and red spots."

"The location is excellent. I stayed here to see the Naruto whirlpools. You can spot the hotel sign right after exiting Maiko JR Station. However, it's still a bit of a walk. Don't bother with ride-sharing apps; you can just flag down a taxi at the station for about 1000 yen to get to the hotel, which is perfect for 2-3 people. You can tell the hotel was once quite grand, but it also shows signs of age. I stayed in the main building, while the public bath was in another building with a fantastic view of the bridge from the window. Breakfast was also quite plentiful."

I was delighted to enjoy Hyogo Prefecture's local cuisine and many other delicious dishes from a great view on the 18th floor. The location is on Rokko Island, a little far from the tourist area, but perhaps because there are few tall buildings nearby, the view from the room is pleasant and spectacular. If I had to point out one downside, it would be that check-out is at 10:00, so I had to leave immediately after breakfast. Also, the facility overall gave the impression of being old. It was so good that I would consider staying again just for breakfast, so if you're considering staying here, be sure to add breakfast."

"I saw the sunrise every day from my room, enjoyed music performances in the park at dusk, and gazed at Kobe's starry night view over the mountains and sea. If you appreciate such views, choose an east-facing room. This is an older hotel, and it's impressive how well it's been maintained and gradually upgraded. The room was extremely clean. There was some noise due to a concert, and the hotel immediately assisted by moving me to a higher floor, which was a free upgrade. I highly recommend the breakfast; it's a delicious blend of Japanese and Western styles. The location is excellent, right across from Harborland, with many shops and restaurants. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus to the station, making it very convenient to get around."

There's a Don Quijote nearby, making it a lively area. Service: Average. I had to switch rooms for an extended stay, and the staff were quite rigid, requiring a lot of time for communication. Ctrip platform, however, was excellent. They responded efficiently to issues, coordinating solutions and compensation – very effective."

"Kobe is an excellent destination for a comfortable family trip with kids. It offers mountains, the sea, cable cars, parks, an aquarium, a Ferris wheel, night views, and shopping. We chose this hotel purely for its convenient location, especially with children. It's right above Sannomiya Station, Kobe's largest transportation hub (buses, private railways, JR trains all in one place), making getting around incredibly easy. The room wasn't huge but perfectly adequate. It's a shame we weren't assigned a high-floor room this time; we would have loved to enjoy the city's night view from up there. I hope Trip.com can pay more attention to requests from Black Diamond members. We look forward to visiting Kobe again, and if we're not staying overnight at Arima Onsen, this hotel will definitely remain our top choice for 2-3 nights."
