"This hotel is probably the best value-for-money and has the best views in downtown Coron. The rooms are quite ordinary, but they have everything you need, and the bed is comfortable. However, once you get to the outdoor pool deck on the fifth floor, you'll instantly feel like the value is incredible. Then, having breakfast at the 360-degree panoramic view restaurant on the rooftop, wow, you can't help but exclaim what an amazing hotel this is! For just over 300 pesos a night, you wouldn't even dare to dream of such a deal back home! Enough talk, just look at my photos! The pool bar is a highlight, where you can enjoy various exquisite drinks and cocktails directly in the pool, facing the beautiful night view of Coron's harbor. The view restaurant not only offers unbeatable views but also a very rich breakfast. In short, I've found a hidden gem. I originally only planned to stay one night to rest, but I unexpectedly fell in love with this place. The only minor dissatisfaction was the front desk staff's somewhat stiff attitude. They explained things clearly, but were a bit rigid, and they charged a 200k fee for a child even without an extra bed, but that's a minor issue."

"The bed was very comfortable. The location was very good - close to restaurants and dive schools. The hotel arranged a packed breakfast for us on tour days. The view from the pool is just exceptional. And the hotel itself looks like a hotel in Greece. Very aesthetic - good for content creation. The hotel restaurant was great. Just a pity that the lobster was sold out."

"An incredible view from our breathtaking terrace. Very comfortable room with a lovely terrace overlooking the entire bay of Labuan Bajo, with extraordinary sunsets. Very good bedding, nice bathroom with a partially open-air shower… Perfectly adapted air conditioning. Not really a restaurant (snacks available) but breakfasts served (always with kindness and a smile) on our own terrace. Very efficient and inexpensive laundry service (€1.20 per kg…). Superb infinity pool… so welcome in this climate… It should be noted that the hotel is built on the hill overlooking the bay, so access is quite steep… no elevator (and for good reason…) stairs to reach all the bungalows. Wi-Fi is available but rather unreliable. And to conclude, the staff are extremely kind, helpful, and always smiling."

"The house was newly renovated and had a strong smell. In addition, the location was quite remote. Although the hotel provided a shuttle service, if you wanted to eat, you had to ask the hotel to arrange a local car to pick you up. You couldn't get a ride through ride-hailing apps. The hotel's service was inadequate, and they handled problems very poorly, resulting in a very bad experience."

"The private pool was really dirty, full of floating debris. There was virtually no soundproofing, so we could hear karaoke at night. The staff seemed clueless; breakfast options were limited, and the welcome fruit was rotten, but no one bothered to deal with it even after we called. The bathtub stopper wouldn't pop up. For this price point, there wasn't even a complimentary snack bar. On the bright side, the sunset view from the beach was nice."

"Compared to six years ago, Komodo has opened many new hotels. Although Plataran is not new, it feels the closest to nature. The traditional welcome ceremony is very interesting. The hotel is a little far from the city center, but you can help call a taxi. There are many free activities in the hotel. The snorkeling in the hotel is the most recommended. There are many corals and fish in the sea. There is a restaurant that is only for hotel guests. It tastes good and you can enjoy the food while watching the sunset."

"The hotel was great. Very comfortable stay. My complaints would be about the shower. The temperature is fixed, starting off very hot and then easing to a lukewarm. Adjusting the nozzle has no effect, so my showers were not so pleasant. Breakfast was good, but they were kind of skimpy on the sausage. Overall, I would stay there again. The staff was very kind and they were very helpful with sightseeing and renting scooters. 👍🏿"
