"We stayed in Towada Prince Hotel for 4 nights in early October in a lake-view room. The hotel itself is resort style with lots of open space and facing Lake Towada. The hot spa is good with one open air pool. The colours of the leaves have not yet changed so the views would be even better towards end of October and November. We stayed in hotel for dinner and the French dinner is rather nice. It would be better if there would be more variation in the menu for guests staying for more than 2 nights. Since we travelled to Aomori and Oirase a lot, the location of the hotel is good with about 45 minutes' drive to Oirase. Overall, we find our stay very pleasant and we enjoyed it a lot."

"This place is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. I expected much more amenities and service. Although the staff were friendly and courteous, the place was fairly bland. The onsen was mediocre and there were no refreshments afterwards unless you wanted to go to a vending machine. Even Dormy Inn provides refreshments after the onsen but at Towado Hotel having to pay for them and not even the nice ones is ridiculous when you have to pay so much to stay here. The same for the relaxation chair. It is coin-operated not complementary. I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a luxury experience because although you pay for that, it’s definitely nowhere near that. Our Western style room was very basic, and it just didn’t have those special finishing touches I had hoped for. "

"This hotel seems to be one of a few still operating, Lake Tadawa looks quite run down with many decaying hotels and buildings. However, this hotel is still going strong. Good rooms, decent onsen but the standout is the food, really good Japanese set meals. Staff very helpful as we don't speak Japanese."
