"Due to strikes and road construction in Italy, I contacted the hotel by phone and was told I could check in after 10 AM. They said someone would open the door for me. After driving for ages to the hotel and ringing the doorbell, even though someone was clearly loitering on the second floor, the front desk deliberately refused to open the door. I don't know if it was racial discrimination, but I was stuck there for a long time without anyone paying attention to me. The streets outside the hotel were dark and scary, with *********** and homeless people walking around. Given Italy's terrible security situation, I strongly advise against Chinese people staying at this hotel. This hotel is also very unreasonable; it doesn't have a 24-hour front desk, so guests can't get help if something happens. Fortunately, Ctrip customer service helped me get my complaint resolved."

"This hotel is not cheap, but it is a wonderful place to relax. Just sitting on the seaside terrace and looking at the sea is about the most calming thing you can imagine. The ambience is wonderful and elegant. There are many items of furniture and decor that you might find in a museum. When you stay here, it really feels like you are guests in a well kept noble estate from another century. The bar is wonderful and open very late. When we were there, there was even a pianist nearby playing lovely pieces by Chopin. The in-house restaurant is top quality, and the morning breakfast is the best I have seen anywhere in Italy. We got one of the cheaper rooms, but it was very well appointed, and we had a lovely time. We were only here a single night, and wish we could have had another day or two. Due to its proximity to Fiumicino airport, we will definitely consider it next time we fly through Rome."
