"The Lakes by YOO is in a truly beautiful location, and the rooms themselves are beautifully designed and very clean, creating an amazing atmosphere. Our room right on the water was incredibly relaxing and accommodating for our family. The on-site facilities are also fantastic, offering a great pool, a spa, a zipline, a little farm, and plenty of other activities to keep everyone entertained. It is a lovely place to stay from a physical and aesthetic standpoint. Unfortunately, the service was highly disappointing, especially considering the premium rate we paid. We stayed for three nights and did not receive a single cleaning service during our entire stay. To make matters worse, I requested a change of towels three separate times and did not get them. I finally had to go down to reception personally to ask for the towels, and only then did we receive them. For a luxury resort, this lack of basic attention was very frustrating. The situation was made worse by how they handled a terrible heatwave that hit a couple of days before we arrived. I emailed ahead to make sure there was air conditioning, and I was told the room we booked did not have it, almost as if I had intentionally chosen a non-AC room when I had simply booked whatever available unit fit a family. When I asked to move to a room with air conditioning, they charged me an extra £250. This felt entirely unfair since the place was pretty much empty anyway. At this price point, and in that kind of extreme weather, management should automatically place guests in air-conditioned units. It is completely unreasonable to expect people to stay in an uncooled flat during a major heatwave while charging such an expensive rate. While the property itself is beautiful and the activities are excellent, the poor service and opportunistic upcharging left a very sour taste. If a resort is going to charge luxury prices, it needs to provide the luxury service to match."

"As Asians, kinda difficult to find Asian food around especially rice meals, which is the only issue we found, the room is nice and comfortable, the area is beautiful, we just struggle on where to find Asian meals around the area. 😅"
