"This hotel shockingly misrepresents itself as a four star establishment. In the UK it would struggle to be considered two star. As others have said the location is good although quite a stroll to the town and facilities. The room we were given was described a junior suite. It was an area of ca 2 metres by 5 metres with a small balcony. The length of the bed took most of the width. Also in the room was a disgusting sofa bed and a kitchen area that was filthy , the hot plates had clearly been mistreated and we didn’t dare consider switching them on. The air conditioning unit worked sporadically but dropped water all over the floor of the room. Our shower control was broken and water was intermittent depending on other rooms. Breakfast and the breakfast room were so bad we chose to eat breakfast out. Pictures on the web site in no way represent what we endured for three nights given our tour company could not relocate us. Under no circumstances should you you pay the four star tourist tax taken from us for what proved to be an underwhelming stay."

"We enjoyed an excellent holiday at the Katouna suites. The hotel has spectacular views, a lovely pool and well maintained gardens. Our room was very clean and well furnished with great views. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. The food was of a consistently high standard both at breakfast and on the occasions we ate at the hotel in the evenings or at lunchtime. We would certainly visit again."

"A warm friendly welcome from check in to unfortunately having to go home. Beautiful location overlooking the marina and a short walk to the center of Nidri. Room was very spacious and well maintained the aircon being a bonus as it was baking hot during our stay. We stayed in a room for 4 people with our balcony overlooking the pool, bar and beautiful views over the marina. The hotel has a lovely pool area and a very well stocked pool bar. You can also enjoy your drinks on the beach across the road which was lovely in the evening watching the moon rise over the bay. A fantastic 2 weeks spent in a great super value for money hotel with a lovely friendly Greek family as your hosts. Would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Oscar"

Odyssey Hotel

"We stayed at the Odyssey Hotel in Alicante and, unfortunately, we would not stay here again. While the rooms are reasonably pleasant, there is a big difference between the facilities advertised and what is actually available to guests. We booked a double room but were given two single beds which, we were told, could not be made into a double. The beds constantly moved apart during the night, making it very uncomfortable for a couple. The air conditioning is also a problem. Although there is air conditioning and a fan, they are controlled by a timer that guests cannot adjust. They switch off during the night, leaving the room extremely hot. We reported this, but nothing was done. The pool is really a small plunge pool and, during our stay, has appeared poorly maintained, with sand, grit and debris in the water. There are loungers and umbrellas, but the umbrellas are not put up, even when temperatures reach 36–38°C, meaning there is effectively no shade. There is a bar beside the pool, but it is not operated during the daytime. You can sit beside it all day, but you cannot actually get a drink. Evenings have very limited and inconsistent opening hours. For a hotel advertising a pool and bar, this is extremely disappointing. Parking is available, but it is exceptionally tight. The entrance, ramps and parking spaces are difficult to navigate, with very little room to manoeuvre. You need to be extremely careful to avoid scraping or damaging your car. Breakfast is fine and most staff are friendly, although we did encounter one particularly unhelpful member of the evening bar staff. Overall, the issue is that the hotel advertises facilities that are either restricted, unavailable or poorly maintained. It feels more like a glorified motel than a proper hotel. We would not return."

"I can thoroughly recommend the surf hotel , it’s in a great location with a lovely pool . The rooms are very clean and have excellent air conditioning . It’s a Greek family run hotel , the staff are really friendly and the rooms are cleaned daily . The inclusive breakfast is delicious and the restaurant has beautiful views across the bay. There is a bar that service drinks , lunch and delicious ice cream at very reasonable prices You can also rent kit and have windsurf or winging lessons from the surf school on site. We had a family room which was very spacious and had a balcony to sit out on . I have stayed here twice and will definitely be coming back for another visit."

Captain's Seafront Apartments

"Spent 6 nights at the Captain's Seafront Apartments, in 2 rooms. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and comfortable with amazing views from the balcony. Check in was simple as we had confirmed arrival time in advance - the owners and Neri were helpful and welcoming throughout the stay. The apartments are in a great location for exploring Nydri. We were too early in the season to take a trip on the MS Christina (owned by the same family) but it looks great and we will definitely try that next time. We'd highly recommend the accommodation."

"Nice place, rooms, common spaces, but what affects this activity is the attention of the manager and his family to the client; they are divided between the cleaning of the rooms (all day with clothes exchange) and the preparation of cakes Salts and sweets for the amazing breakfast you are served in the room or in the garden. never stop Panagiotis !!!"

Lefkadio Suites

"While I had booked a Junior Suite, with breakfast. Essentially a maisonette-style room with 2 double beds and comfortable spaces as shown in the photos with a private small balcony, very nice... Finally, after quite a delay, due to a breakdown of the TV stand, I entered the room at 17:00, but unfortunately I changed rooms due to a breakdown of the air conditioner (it was not working) and due to the heat I could not stay in the room. They served me and made me comfortable in a smaller room and I thank them for the quick response and service. But since there was a room change, there should have been a corresponding price change. Something that did not happen and I did not demand it because I am not that kind of person, I came for a vacation and my goal was to have a good time and escape from such issues. Although I believe even if I were to chase it it would be a bit difficult - time-consuming because the reservation had been made 1 month ago electronically with payment via card and a specific platform... Breakfast in the room and it was just as it should be (i.e. quite rich). The outdoor area was nice, but because the season had not yet started the pools were empty and the bars were not working, something that did not concern me because I came for the island and the sea..."
