"Room had more of a partial ocean view. The pool for the room was freezing cold, couldn’t even use it. Breakfast is all self serve, including coffee. Parking is a nightmare. Lots of families and young children. I would stay someplace else if I were to ever visit Lefkada again."

"Very nice place. Clean! Every day girls visit and clean the room. Free Parking space in front of the place, which is important because in Nydri there is no parking, ot they charge it. All the employees were nice and answered all the requests. Close to the beach and city center. Easy to move through the entire island because roada are well connected. Many interesting things to do on the island. "

"We stayed here for two nights and it was perfect for us. Clean room, all mod cons; WiFi and air con worked fine. We parked outside the hotel to leave our luggage, and then parked in a private area less than 5 minutes away. We had breakfast locally, at Cup & Joy and also the Croissant Cafe. Everything else is an easy walk away. Friendly staff - definitely recommend"

"Avoid this hotel at all costs — the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. On June 21st, we stayed for one night at Grand Theoni Hotel in Vasiliki, Lefkada. I had booked 3 rooms a week in advance via email (2 family rooms and 1 double), priced at €190 per night with breakfast, as we were catching the ferry to Kefalonia the next morning. The shock came when a family of our friends, who arrived without a reservation, were offered the same type of room for less than €90 without breakfast. Such a huge price difference for the same room, in the same conditions, felt like a complete rip-off. But that was only the beginning. The hotel itself is the worst I’ve ever stayed in — extremely old, dirty, run-down, with zero basic standards. The staff at reception were powerless to handle any complaint, and when the so-called manager appeared, she behaved in the most arrogant, rude, and unprofessional way I’ve ever seen in the hospitality business. She didn’t even turn her head to acknowledge us while speaking in her language and walking away. Later, when I insisted on speaking to her (not even knowing at first she was the manager), she dismissively justified the lower price as “the last room.” And her final words were simply: “You can leave if you don’t like it.” At that point, I had already paid 50% by bank transfer — or else, believe me, I would have left immediately. When we got to the room, it hadn’t even been prepared. The sofa bed for the children was still closed and without sheets. When I asked at reception, the same receptionist ran upstairs to throw a wrinkled sheet over it because, as she said herself, “I’m alone, there’s no staff.” The room and bathroom conditions were disgusting — unhygienic, outdated, and absolutely not worth even a third of what we paid. And the cherry on top: at breakfast, which we had to grab quickly before the ferry, my 11-year-old son found a dead fly stuck to his fried egg — clearly cooked together with it, as it was embedded like a decoration. I genuinely love Greece and have traveled extensively, but this is the only hotel experience that truly disgusted me. I honestly recommend everyone to stay away from this place. No service, no hygiene, no professionalism, no hospitality — and an absolute disgrace to Greek tourism. Stay away."

"Fantastic hotel built in the hillside as a village setting. So immaculately looked after. The location is picturesque and really feels like a get away from it all reset. Staff without exception are fantastic, caring and professional. Special thanks to housekeeping for such a great job. Spiros on Concierge. Chryssa and her fabulous team in the restaurant. The chefs and kitchen staff especially for catering so well for a gluten free diet. Compliments to the chef that makes Mongolian beef…wow! The show cooking chef too! Pool bar and beach service too are all great staff. It was such a relaxing experience staying in the resort. The menu is extensive and changes daily with a different theme, so much choice. Everything is quality and fresh. Hotel is not really suited to anyone with mobility issues. Our room was 148 steps down to the beach (no lift) or take the path which is obviously on a gradient. The restaurant and bar are about 20 steps up from the beach. The beach is private to the hotel with very comfortable sun loungers. There’s more than enough so it didn’t look like people were putting towels and claiming them. We booked our holiday with Jet2 and booked a private taxi transfer with them too. Our taxi driver Nikos was reliable and we paid him also to collect another member of our family who joined us during the holiday. Details for Nikos on attached photo. We hired a car through Broumis, a family business based in Nydri and they delivered to the hotel, easy to deal with and definitely recommend."

"Katerina Resort was magnificent! Andreas (the owner) and the staff are wonderful! The environment is friendly and they are very helpful with recommendations including beaches, restaurants, and even other sites we had not yet thought of seeing (lighthouses, churches, etc). Lefkada is a beautiful island and the town of Vasiliki is quaint yet lively. A wonderful place to stay, we will be back!!"
