It was a fantastic experience, highly recommended!"

"Staying at the Lijiang International Hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Its location is super convenient, close to the Old Town yet still peaceful. What impressed me most was the service: every staff member, from the front desk to housekeeping, was incredibly warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient, and they even proactively offered tips for exploring the area. The room was spotless and neatly incorporated Naxi ethnic elements, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was extensive, featuring local specialties like rice noodles and butter tea. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are well-maintained. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang."

"Staying at the Jinmao Hyatt Regency Lijiang was a delightful surprise. The hotel boasts beautiful surroundings and stunning views, and its convenient location makes getting around by taxi a breeze. There are so many activities on offer, like sugar painting, wishing chimes, and fishing, and the hotel's small animals are adorable! Davina at the front desk was so kind and enthusiastic, and check-out was super quick. Excellent!"

"I heard this hotel was built by the municipal government, so the service was really perfunctory. It felt like they were taking advantage of guests because it's a big establishment. The room was also quite old and rundown. We were three people staying in a quadruple room, and the price included four breakfasts. On our last day, when we asked for one extra breakfast to go, they refused. The staff even claimed breakfast was complimentary, which we didn't believe – it was clearly included in the room rate! Unlike other hotels, the overall experience felt very disingenuous."

"The hotel environment is fantastic, with complete facilities and spacious rooms. The soundproofing is good, and the complimentary coffee is delicious. The location is definitely a bonus – it's super convenient to get everywhere. It's very close to the South Gate of the Ancient City and Zhongyi Night Market, just a few minutes' walk. You can also take the 101 bus directly to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain scenic area. We booked a courtyard twin room for our two children, and having a private courtyard made our stay very comfortable. Thumbs up! 👍🏻"

"This is a newly opened hotel, and while the location is a bit far out, the facilities inside the hotel and in the rooms are quite good. I did encounter a fly on the pillow that kept coming back even after I shooed it away, which was a minor annoyance. The gym and cafe on the upper floors are nice for relaxation. However, I was given an uncleaned room upon check-in, and they also forgot to send up our complimentary fruit. So, the service details could use some improvement."

"I wouldn't recommend staying here. It's small, expensive, and inconvenient. I woke up with several bug bites on my thighs, and they're incredibly itchy. It's the off-season for tourism, and there are plenty of hotels in Lijiang's city center for around 150 yuan. A taxi to the Old Town is only about 9 yuan for the starting fare, so you can come and go as you please. Definitely don't stay inside the Old Town; the experience is terrible. 1. First, if you're driving to a guesthouse, there's no parking. You'll have to find your own. Then you park in the scenic area parking lot, and a tricycle takes your luggage. After that, you navigate the winding streets of the Old Town to get to your accommodation. At night, there's nothing around. It's inconvenient to go to the night market or go out for entertainment. During the day, there are just tourists everywhere. 2. Guesthouses aren't standardized. They lack amenities like washing machines and dryers, and they don't offer standard, extensive breakfasts. Room sizes aren't standardized either, and the hygiene isn't up to professional cleaning standards, despite the price. 3. And then there's this ridiculous 'mountain view' gimmick. There are cafes everywhere with rooftop seating where you can see the mountains. You can't even see the snow-capped mountains from your room with the window open; it's simply not high enough. 4. And don't mistake the 'private hot spring' for an actual hot spring. It's just a giant pool, the water isn't hot, and it's a very small pool. Finally, the room was too small. I kept hitting my knee on the bedside table, which made me squeal in pain. Then, at night, I had bug bites all over my butt and legs that were still incredibly itchy. It just goes to show how dirty this small room was."
