"We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel l'abre Voyageur. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from both of Lilles railway stations and just a 5-10 minute walk to the main square. Our room was immaculate, the king-size bed was super comfy, the breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were wonderful. We will definitely return."

Even during the day, homeless people and alcoholics chase after you, demanding money. They call themselves 'Hotel & Spa,' but there's no spa. The drain was clogged so I couldn't shower in the bathroom. At check-out, they told me to shower in an empty room!"

"It was a last-minute reservation. Lille was full because of the conference. It was in the middle of a heat wave. In this context, the money value was not really net. There was no air conditioning, the breakfast variety was very poor, and the lift would not work properly. I asked for a high-level room as it is close to the train station, but I got a room on the second floor, which was very noisy, and I had to keep the windows open due to the heat. The hotel was clean. "It is a very nice hotel, but my stay was ruined. The hotel had decided to have a DJ blast music from one of the hotel rooms to celebrate festivities in Lille that weekend. The DJ was blasting music through an open window to the street below at exceptionally high volume levels. My room was above the DJ. The music shook the room, it was impossible for us to stay in the room. It was a lovely room but it wasn't fit for purpose, and should not have been hired out to guests when the hotel had arranged for a DJ to be creating that level of noise below them. I arrived at the hotel after a 15 hour journey, desperate for rest before going out to meet friends in the evening. Rest was simply impossible in the room. As a result my evening out was also ruined. At the very least a hotel needs to provide a quite relaxing room for guests, this wasn't done. I would advise you to consider other options available before considering this hotel."
