"I chose this hotel because it had a parking lot. However, when I arrived early, the parking was already full. What I regret is: 1/ the employee at the front desk didn't apologize, and 2/ they gave me incorrect directions to the 'Nouveau Siècle' parking, and I refuse to believe they don't know the streets they mentioned are blocked on Saturdays. We would have happily returned, but now I'm not so sure about a new visit..."

"What a beautiful hotel, oldie worldy & the aroma when you walk in is amazing, sort of sandalwood greetings & the ambience absolutely beautiful. However, I wanted room service, I could get the menu up on the QR code, I had to go downstairs & get one, totally defeats the point of wanting 'room service' which I was informed not 24/7 but, the 'chef' had pre-prepared food in a glass jar, the receptionist heated it up in a microwave & served it..nice! I've been home for two days and still waiting for the hotel to send someone to my room & fix the air-con/heater!! It was so cold I had to open the window to get some heat in!! Ridiculous, really for a "4 star" hotel the bathroom/toilet was disgusting, decor falling & holes in the walls etc. Not good enough by 4 star standards! Ashame really as it was lovely. Thank you for reading my rant!"

"Comfortable hotel with young energetic people working there, check-in and check-out was simple and fast. Good WiFi, soft towels and big beds. I also got very lucky with the view, the building is one of tallest ones in the area so from the upper floors one can see the town. The breakfast is very variable: veggies, fruits, eggs, omelette, yoghurt, pastries (also pieces of gluten free bread is provided), coffee and juices - just a full buffet. Big bar in the evening. A big disadvantage: all the floors (rooms, elevators, corridors) are decorated with the thick carpets. If you have allergies on dust, it’s a torture."

The surrounding area is terrible; if you're coming back late, the walk from the subway station to the hotel feels dangerous and there's absolutely nothing around. No people and it's pitch black. Even during the day, homeless people and alcoholics chase after you, demanding money. They call themselves 'Hotel & Spa,' but there's no spa. The drain was clogged so I couldn't shower in the bathroom. At check-out, they told me to shower in an empty room!"

"Perfect hotel; we stayed for one night before catching our train to London. Ideally located and quiet, close to the station. We had to ask Areski, the receptionist, for help with a ring we'd dropped behind a piece of furniture that couldn't be disassembled, and he did everything he could to retrieve it before our return from London. The customer service was beyond perfect; thank you again to Areski for all his help and for keeping us informed over the next few days."

"The room was not ready on time and the clerk could not find our suitcase. The clerk at the reception said that the room was not paid and that I had to pay again! Finally I could prove that it was okay. Impossible to take a bath: a piece of the bath was broken and there was no hot water. Impossible to call the reception. The sound of the TV did not work. "It is a very nice hotel, but my stay was ruined. The hotel had decided to have a DJ blast music from one of the hotel rooms to celebrate festivities in Lille that weekend. The DJ was blasting music through an open window to the street below at exceptionally high volume levels. My room was above the DJ. The music shook the room, it was impossible for us to stay in the room. It was a lovely room but it wasn't fit for purpose, and should not have been hired out to guests when the hotel had arranged for a DJ to be creating that level of noise below them. I arrived at the hotel after a 15 hour journey, desperate for rest before going out to meet friends in the evening. Rest was simply impossible in the room. As a result my evening out was also ruined. At the very least a hotel needs to provide a quite relaxing room for guests, this wasn't done. I would advise you to consider other options available before considering this hotel."
