"Now that I'm middle-aged, I've traveled hundreds, if not thousands, of times. This time, the hotel in Liuba completely changed my perception. I had a two-day weekend trip, and beforehand I looked at many options on Ctrip. I personally dislike guesthouses and prefer hotels, thinking they're better in every way. I booked this so-called hotel for a little over 300 yuan, only to find out upon arrival that it wasn't a hotel at all, more like a resort. The circled area shows the loft king-size bed room I booked. I've never had a bad experience before, but this time I was really disappointed; the room was like a pigeon coop. The lowest point of the ceiling was so cramped I couldn't even stand up straight. The service was even worse. I arrived at 5 pm, and there should have been two more rooms of this type available, but I, who arrived first, was given a room with a broken bathroom mirror. I immediately told the staff, but she just said, "Oh, I know, we have a note." The pillows were too low, and when I asked for another one, she simply said they didn't have any, and added that if I wasn't satisfied, I could get a refund. Is this the service attitude expected of a so-called three-star hotel? My request wasn't unreasonable. I was willing to pay for an upgrade, but you said there were no rooms available. Fine, then bring me an extra pillow, and you said there weren't any either? You even said the hotel only provides one-to-one amenities, and there weren't any extras. Did you think I'd never stayed in a hotel before? Later, another staff member came, and after a brief discussion, they moved me to a different room. Only then did I realize there was one room available. They then promised to get me an extra pillow from somewhere else. The problem was solved, but I felt like I'd swallowed a fly... I'd wanted to visit Liuba for a long time; the scenery is nice. But I never expected to slip and twist my ankle in the least likely place. It's my own fault; I assumed all hotels were the same. This hotel is not what I expected! My travel mood was instantly dampened. I shouldn't blame others; I should blame myself for not being careful enough. Objectively speaking, the resort's environment was decent. I saw the suite layout later, and although the facilities were a bit basic, it was still a good place to escape the summer heat. Finally, a piece of advice: if you want to charge according to hotel standards, you must provide hotel-level service! You are obligated to unconditionally meet guests' demands unless they make unreasonable requests. There's no best, only better! The people of Liuba are honest and kind; I was very satisfied with shopping and dining there. I hope I won't encounter similar situations next time I visit. Coupled with the surrounding lush green mountains, as well as the vibrant vegetable garden at the entrance of the B&B and the unknown flowers and plants in the courtyard, it instantly makes people feel happy and relaxed. The most unexpected thing is that although this B&B only has two floors, it has an elevator that is very convenient to go up and down. To be honest, because of my lumbar and cervical spine problems, I am still a little worried about whether I can rest well at night. I don’t know whether it is because I am tired or because it is too quiet in the mountains. I actually slept very soundly that night when I stayed at the B&B. I never sleep in late. I slept until about 9 a.m. the next morning and woke up. The pillows were very comfortable and different from those used in ordinary B&Bs. Later, I asked the housekeeper and she said it was a brand of Mousse, a high-end custom-made memory pillow. I didn’t know much about it. In short, for a person like me with cervical spondylosis, that pillow was so comfortable that I even had it. The urge to buy one to take home.
