"Everything was more than adequate, but I missed the fact that the kitchen wasn't open until 3:30 p.m., meaning you couldn't dine and had to go to a restaurant in Portocristo, which is a real inconvenience if you're there for work. Otherwise, I highly recommend it."

"We booked to stay at Hotel Cala Bona from 12th to 19th May 2026. First time in the area and of course the hotel. We were not disappointed with either. We were having a great holiday at the hotel when my husband unfortunately suffered a mini stroke on our fourth day meaning he was hospitalised and of course we missed our flight home. The hotel staff were absolutely terrific and did everything they could to help. My husband was discharged from hospital on 21st May but not allowed to fly until 30th. The hotel were able to accommodate us for the additional time we required and not only that we did t even need to change room. I cannot commend all staff, but especially all Reception Staff and our maid on 3rd floor. Thank you Hotel Cala Bona we will hopefully return one day."

"I can’t praise this hotel highly enough. The building is stunning. It’s a converted convent school with thick walls and fabulous ceilings. The staff are lovely - friendly without being obtrusive and always greeting you with a smile. The two pools (outdoor and indoor) are great, and I had one of the best massages of my life here (and I’m a massage junkie). We didn’t eat dinner here in our 6 nights but had breakfast each day which was fantastic. There are a number of good local restaurants to walk to about 100m away, and it’s only 30 mins along a safe road to walk into the seaside town with loads of great restaurants. The bed was huge and very comfortable - we slept very well. Quite a few mosquitoes still in October though so bring repellent…."

"Nice little hotel in decent location with the beach on your doorstep. The food was good with a good selection each day, but just don’t expect a traditional full English breakfast. The rooms are nice, but I would definitely suggest paying extra for a sea view. The sea view is amazing and the other sides of the building just face other hotels. Hotel and rooms are clean and the staff are generally nice and helpful. Would stay again or recommend to others wanting somewhere quiet to stay. Majority of the guest were older German couples. Drinks are free with breakfast but at dinner they take your drink order which you obviously have to pay for. There is a pool bar where you can buy lunch (pizzas,burgers etc) and loads of restaurants in the area you can also go to. There is your traditional entertainment in the bar area most evenings if you like that sort of thing (cover singers mostly), otherwise there is a whole range of bars and places to go to in the evenings with live music etc. Enjoy!"
