"This hotel is just next to Maibara. It is very convenient to go other parts of Lake Biwa. Its bed and pillows are comfortable. Just like other japan hotels, small challenges to open two 24" luggages. Breakfast is simple and nice. There are several types of rice balls to choose (love the fried chicken, egg, fried meat), miso soup, corn soup, healthy fruit juice, bread and coffee."

"This time, they booked a room, but they contacted me immediately and prepared a space for four people in a fully renovated traditional Japanese house, just for me. 😭 It was only a little over 5,000 yen. I was just happy to be able to sleep, so I felt bad. Next time, I'd like to stay at this inn with friends at the regular price. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. ☺️"

"We spent two nights at the guesthouse. It's a traditional house with a spacious room. The shared bathrooms were clean and well-equipped (soap, shampoo, hairdryer, etc.). Our host was very kind, and although he didn't speak English, we were able to communicate without any problems. We had dinner there both evenings; the meals were delicious, mainly featuring fish that the owner catches himself. Our stay was perfect, and we highly recommend this guesthouse in a quiet and pleasant village."

"Very good hotel. Love the room and the hot spring area. Staff are very friendly. Just a comment on the food arrangement: suggest the hotel to contact the guest prior to the check-in on the dinner or breakfast arrangement and offer the choices."

"The owner was very kind and it was a great place. For dinner and breakfast, I was very satisfied to be able to eat lots of fish caught in Lake Biwa, such as sweetfish and rainbow trout. I also had some delicious local sake. The futon was soft and I slept soundly. The bathroom is shared, but it was clean. Access is not a problem as it is within a 10-minute walk from the station, but there are no convenience stores nearby, so I recommend buying some food in advance."
