"Family of 4 staying in 2 rooms 2 bathrooms suite. Nice kitchen with basic cooking utensils provided. Nice bathroom with good water pressure. A bit pity is one of bathrooms’ floor easily get wet after shower. The hotel location is very good and within the free zone of city tram. Basically, the visitors can visit most of scenic places and dining restaurants by different tram routes. Uber to airport is around 30 mins. Overall, Collins Houses Apartment will be our choice if we go to Melbourne again."

"Location very good, lots of restaurants surrounding, and easy to find supermarkets. Victoria Market is 5min walk away. Hotel facilities are basic and just adequate. I stayed 4 nights but no housekeeping on 3rd night then I should ask frontdesk for new bath towel. No slippers though in web page said they would provide. Car park is versatile."

"The room size is acceptable for solo or 2 travellers. No toothpaste/toothbrush/slippers.. Staffs was friendly especially concierge. Paid $38 for their breakfast which I totally regret cause theres not much varieities. Would rather eat out which is cheaper n nicer. Room is clean. lots of eateries, malls, Asian shops and Korean beauty products store. Distance to Emporium is less than 5 mins walk. Through out my stay, I spent walking instead of taking their transport due to crowd. Few cafes outside of the hotel for breakfast or coffees. Overall I had a pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here again if Im in Melbourne. Maybe during off peak season."

"The hotel is located in Melbourne city itself. It’s located within the free tram service of 11 & 48. Estimated 10 to 15mins walking distance to Parliament metro station. Stayed at level 48 facing the stadium and Fitzroy garden. You will be expecting to wake up to a lovely sunrise every morning. Convenient. To travel along the city either via tram or walking. Walking distance to the art gallery, state library and all. The staffs have been accommodating and always ready to answer your questions. Shoutout to the staff Lein and I can’t remember what the staff’s name at the the ground floor lobby. Room service has been good. Love the welcome card and fruit platter provided by the hotel( though I can’t finish). Thank you for making my stay in Melbourne comfortable and will definitely come back soon!"

"Great location, and about 5 mins walking distance to Melbourne Central. Good amenities around, eg convenient stores, eatery and small pockets of shopping. The only fall back is that there is no shower screen and water splashes outside, making it wet and prone to harzard. Also the overhead shower is really very inconvenient, and hard to shower. No floor mat as well. Other than this, all looks good."

"The hotel was well-located and the staff were friendly, so overall we had a pleasant stay. However, there were a few disappointing points. We booked a family room for six people for three nights, but we were actually given adjacent connecting rooms. Also, the connecting room's key was not unlocked, so we had to ask someone to open it for us after we entered. Amenities were not provided for the number of guests, so we had to ask for more. No extra water or other amenities were provided on the second or third night, and trash had not been disposed of."

"We had a pleasant stay at the Kinson - however, this is not a 5* hotel as it seems to claim to be on trip. It offered nice serviced apartments but lacked attention to detail on things like cleanliness. Little things like the sofa was below the TV (so you couldn’t sit and watch!), the aircon was weak so would be a struggle if it was warmer, the towel hanger in the shower was partially off the wall, the bathroom had sensor lights which turned off when in the shower. I think for the price it’s great value however don’t expect anything more than simple serviced apartments. In order for the hotel to move up to a higher status I’d suggest more amenities such as gym, pool, a restaurant, etc.. hallmarks of 4/5 star hotels. All in all I’d recommend due to it being good value for money."
