"Although it's officially a 4-star, it pretty much meets 5-star standards. When I stayed, it was practically empty, so they upgraded me directly to the best king-size room. Even though I'm not a member, I still received complimentary welcome fruit. Facilities: Most things were okay, but because it's so remote, the occupancy rate is likely low, so the maintenance is pretty average. The outdoor pool is beautiful, but the indoor gym and pool are just so-so. The hotel is located in a local resort area and even has hot springs to visit, which was quite a pleasant surprise. Dining: The food was relatively good, comparable to other 5-star hotels in Xishuangbanna. However, some dishes clearly fell a bit short, but I could accept it since I knew it wasn't a true 5-star to begin with."
