"What a lovely place to stay! Having breakfast with the hummingbirds was amazing. Luis and Esperanza were so friendly and helpful. They made us a delicious breakfast every day. It was extra but worth it. Close to the centre of town and easy to get everywhere. A 4km walk to el jardín de mariposas was very worthwhile. Luis was kind enough to arrange for a taxi to pick us up there. Highly recommend staying here."

"Private rooms and hot water showers. My husband and I stayed here a few years ago. Then again in September 2026. Came with family 3 years ago and reserved 3 rooms. The location for bird watching, excursions was awesome. Hikes to waterfalls to swim in was also awesome. Rooms were clean, free large breakfast every morning hot showers, clean swimming pool. Hotel staff can arrange taxis to Quito airport and also arrange excursions. No air conditioning, but in mountains, it was not needed. Taxi cap to Quito airport takes 2 hours and costs $80."

"Loved La Roulotte!! Surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle of Mindo, this place is a gem. The cabins are so cute and have everything you need for a perfect night's sleep; good beds, tons of pillows, plenty of hot water and good wifi signal. The restaurant is reasonably priced and everything is homemade and delicious. This is a perfect place to spend a few days while exploring Mindo- we only stayed one night to break up the drive back to Quito from Esmeraldas but would have loved to stay longer."

Casa Divina Eco Lodge ★★★

"My wife and I spent a week at Casa Divina as part of the Andean Choco Birding Tour organized by their sister company Sabina Tours. Our spacious room was located close by the main lodge and surrounded by a jungle alive with singing birds. Our upstairs room was private, very clean and serviced daily. The Choco birding tour included all meals which were taken either on the trail (when birding) or in the lodge. Marta, the wonderful cook, created delicious meals featuring local, healthy cuisine all the while taking care of my wife's gluten free requirements. Staff members all spoke English and treated us with personalized attention. We spent the week with Owner Efrain as our birding guide (reviewed separately under Sabina Tours). We met his wife Molly on our last day when she returned from visiting her family in the States. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Divina and look forward to returning for our next birding adventure."
