We loved our stay at Passing Cloud Resort. The rooms and amenities and the property were so quaint and stunning. The whole team was so helpful, especially Ge who really helped us organizing our trip and activities to Huangshan mountain. She was so kind as to help us with translations and suggestions throughout our stay. Also mr li helped to drive us around. Xidi is a charming village and we were very lucky to experience it. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Thank you for having us 💜

We are very satisfied with our trip! Everything was better than we could ever imagine. Before our arrival, the hotel owner contacted us to help us find the hotel. Because it is located in the Hongcun ancient village (which is a restricted area), taxis and didi cannot access the area but the hotel owner helped us bring the big luggages upstairs and also helped us on our way back. In general, he was very responsive and answered all our questions. We used WeChat for easy translation. The hotel is situated in the heart of Hongcun village,vry close to the entrance and also close to all the scenic spots. It is just mesmerizing, the hotel itself is a work of art. No matter how much we looked, there were always new things to discover. The decor was fantastic, it was representing the Hui style. A pleasant surprise was the view from our bathroom. The amazing wooden windows opened a magic view to the big hall. The view from the window in front of the bed are Hui-style houses and the mountains. Drinking coffee there and getting ready was a bliss. The room itself was also very beautifully decorated and kept clean. If i would come to Hongcun again, I will definitely choose the same hotel. It made our experience purely magical. While visiting the ancient buildings in the village, we were happy to come back to our room, which was as beautiful. Thanks a lot to the hotel staff and especially the owner!

We had a truly exceptional stay at Hongcun Nanhu View Garden. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with genuine warmth — the kind of hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. The hotel arranged our transfer from the train station seamlessly, and even helped us figure out the best way to reach our next destination. Every question we had, every small need — they were always there, smiling and ready to help. The breakfasts were one of the highlights: homemade, authentic, and absolutely delicious. You can feel the love and care in every dish. The owner of the hotel and the entire staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and truly proud of what they do — and it shows. Staying at Hongcun Nanhu View Garden was not just accommodation; it was an experience. Peaceful views, beautiful traditional architecture, and a team that goes above and beyond. We couldn’t recommend this place more.

在黟縣的這次住宿，完全超出了我的期待，可以説是我近幾年旅途中最温暖舒心的一站。酒店坐落在宏村景區外面，離景區很近，走小路一分鐘就到景區門口，位置選得極好，沒有擠在喧囂的主街上，跟着導航很容易找到。白牆黛瓦、木質窗欞，將傳統建築美學與現代簡約舒適完美融合。房間內部很乾凈，床品柔軟親膚，設施齊全，最貼心的是地暖，讓徽州濕冷的夜也變得暖暖的。酒店的早餐也值得稱道，並非簡單的自助，而是搭配好的中式定食，有當地特色的米糕、小菜，熱氣騰騰的清粥，營養又養胃。離開時非常不捨，如果你來黟縣，想真切感受徽州的靜謐與詩意，我會毫不猶豫地推薦這裏。

The Homestay is located not far from two of the entrances to the village of Hongcun, and one of the owners came and picked us up at the gates, and offered to carry our luggage. The house is very real, they have three lovely pets and are extremely welcoming and helpful. I speak a little Chinese so communication was fairly easy, but with the translation apps I guess it would be as easy. The owner was kind to explain a couple of things about the village and to give us helpful informations on our trip to Huangshan of the following day. She even made a phone call to ensure we could buy tickets at the departure of the cable cars. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is what we were looking for. The homestead is located inside the acenic area of Hongchun. It is very convenient to all the attractions and restaurants. You csn have a nice stroll after dinner. The hostel is very 'Zen Style' if you choose for the 2nd hostel called 'Xindeng 心灯'. The room is huge and clean. There also offer nice chinese teas for enjoyment. The homestead owner is also very helpful in arranging the transport for ferrying to the hostel and to another destination. However, it is much easier to communicate with the operator via Wechat which is local apps. Use Wechat to call for the transport arrangement for any purpose. The only minor issue is the early distutbed noise of motors and residents will wake you up in the early morning of 6am. The homestead is just next to one of the main lane.

Had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hidden gem. We felt truly welcome from the very first moment, as the hosts were incredibly kind, explaining everything and helping us whenever needed. They even offered us tea both upon arrival and again when we were about to leave. The interior is lovely and creates an authentic, traditional Chinese atmosphere.

The property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

這次黃山之行，最意外的温暖竟來自黃山悦榕莊的全程陪伴 —— 從踏入酒店的那一刻起，就被工作人員的熱情周到裹住，到後來的房型升級，更是讓整個旅程的幸福感直接拉滿，忍不住想好好説説這份用心。 剛到酒店門口，就有工作人員笑着迎上來，辦理入住時，不僅耐心地給我們介紹酒店的設施、周邊的遊玩路線，那種妥帖不是刻意的客套，而是像朋友般的真誠關照，瞬間掃去了趕路的疲憊。 原本衹訂了基礎房型，前台管家Jeff提前聯繫了我們給我們升級到了自駕雙卧別墅，當下真的又驚又喜！推開門的瞬間更是忍不住感歎 —— 這哪裡是 “升級”，簡直是跨越式的驚喜！房間自帶一方小庭院，坐在露台就能望見遠處層疊的羣山黛色，室內的佈置也滿是細節，柔軟的床品、貼心備好的黃山茶包，連衞浴間的備品都透着精緻。後來才知道，這是酒店為了讓客人更好地感受黃山之美特意安排的，這份不期而遇的用心，比風景更讓人難忘。 整個入住期間，無論遇到什麼需求，工作人員總能第一時間迴應，每一個細節都透着 “把客人放在心上” 的誠意，沒有轟轟烈烈的服務，卻在每一個小瞬間讓人覺得踏實又温暖。酒店萌寵樂園的小兔子，是這次入住最治癒的小驚喜！ 真心感謝黃山悦榕莊的所有工作人員，是你們的熱情周到，讓這場旅行多了份歸屬感；是你們的用心升級，讓我們收穫了超出期待的驚喜。如果再去黃山，這裏一定會是我們的第一選擇！

Traveling with 2 of my friends on a fun girls trip! This was such an amazing location. We went from a sad and boring hotel in Beijing to this fantastic location and suddenly the whole trip was more fun and much more interesting. The host met us at the entrance to Hongcun and carried our luggage in the back of his little vehicle as we followed him around quaint buildings and through a narrow cobblestone walkway which was perfect for walking and pretty impressive to drive thru without scratching anything. After the beautiful walk we came through the most beautiful circle archway and into the cutest courtyard. We rented the room with a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds up in the loft. The rooms were so cute we had to hide our luggage to do a full video tour to show our families before unpacking. The beds have mattress toppers which helped soften up the beds for us Americans. The host was very helpful and I would suggest getting WeChat to translate if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t but it was easy to communicate. I would definitely stay at here again. Highly recommended!
