"I arrived at the hotel around 2:10 PM. Since check-in time was from 3 PM, I requested an early check-in, but was told it would cost an extra 1000 yen. I reluctantly waited in the lobby, during which time three staff members were chatting at the front desk. Personally, I wish they had been more flexible. Of course, it would be a different story if the room cleaning wasn't finished yet. Otherwise, there was a large public bath on the first floor, which was available from 3 PM to 2 AM and 5 AM to 10 AM, allowing me to relax. I just wanted to share my own desires."

"Beautiful place, easy access with 10 minures bus from the train station. Amazing meals and breathtaking views. Onsen is wonderful too, there were not crowded, so my friend with tattoes was able to go as well. Friendly place, would recommend to stay here to relax. The time here is going much slower than in the city. Also check the akame 48 waterfall trail. Thats definitely a must-see experience"

The rooms, atmosphere, value for money, service, and cleanliness are all one of a kind. The food and rooms in particular are impeccable. I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer. And the smiling service of the staff makes the start of each day a bright one. I've been traveling for over 30 years, and I've learned that this is true "omotenashi" (hospitality). "Booked this as a side trip from Osaka to escape the city and have some quiet time. Set in a tiny village in the middle of a mountainous & forested area alongside a beautiful river with tons of waterfalls, very picturesque and perfect for walking around. The hotel itself is immaculate with great amenities including large bathing areas. Food was incredible and service was top-notch with staff that were always friendly, helpful and eager to please. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Japanese-style onsen hotel in a tranquil setting."
