MY Lodge Naoshima ★★★

"The room offers a fantastic sea view. It's an uphill walk to get there, but there are signs everywhere, making it convenient. The hotel has bikes for rent, but we rented from a city shop – the prices were the same. Dinner needs to be ordered in advance; we emailed and still made it. That's quite odd. Breakfast is offered in two types – Japanese or European, but there's not much difference in content. The beds are comfortable, and the hotel is quiet. There are many different books, which we enjoyed browsing through."

"Highly recommended. There aren't many accommodations on Naoshima, but this place is very close to the pier, and there are convenience stores and bus stops nearby, making it an excellent choice for a trip to Naoshima."

"Convenient location that is a short 5-10 minute walk from port, there are no signs but once you know the way, it's a really short walk. There is a convenient 7/11 along the way. Room/studio is well designed and equipped, all thing are clearly and thoughtfully labelled in English for non-Japanese visitors. There were bottles of water and other drinks in the fridge, but one bottle was opened and half drunk, which was clearly left by previous occupants."
