Nara Park Hotel

"Our reservation at another place fell through and we found this place at the last moment. The location was not awesome. It seemed a bit shady and was far from most anything interesting. The hotel is old but looks like it would have been posh when it was first built. It’s been well maintained but needs updating. The beds were comfy. The room was nice, spacious, warm and had a private full bath, Tv, small refrigerator, and water heater. There are several places to sit and gather. We were able to play cards in a common area. The breakfast was very Japanese and not great for western tastes. They did have some bread items and cereal. There is a shuttle in the mornings to the train stations. The star of the place is the onsen. It is really beautiful. We enjoyed it several times in our short stay. I would return for that reason."

"Really loved the whole experience! From the shuttle bus that was meticulously planned to all the activities available and the delicious selection of food. It would have been nice if they collected our dietary preferences / restrictions ahead of time though so we would have more time to review the available options."

Kamenoi Hotel Nara

"Although the scenery near the hotel seems to be remote, the hotel is actually in a good location. Next door is the ruins of Heijo Palace, and it is about a ten-minute walk from Kintetsu Yamato-Saidaiji Railway Station. Popular attractions such as Nara Park are only two stations away. The hotel can reserve a shuttle bus to the railway station. I saw some guests using it, but I didn't use it. The room is bigger than I expected. There is no extra charge for the hotel's hot spring facilities. There are both indoor and outdoor pools. The service of the hotel staff is very good. Overall, it is highly recommended."

The Deer Park Inn

"This is a retro-style hotel that suits my taste. Very Kansai. The window view is beautiful, the room is nice. You can see deer from the balcony. Behind the hotel is a green hill, very chill to take pictures. The downside is that it is quite far from the train station, far from the bus station. But the view is nice and chill. The room has no mirror so you can't put on makeup or curl your hair."

Hotel Asyl Nara

"The room was absolutely great. In Japanese style, futons, tatami, exactly the one we wanted to try. Staff friendly, helpfull and kind. The only thing we dislike was the smell of fried oil in the hotel corridors. Luckily it did not smell in the room."

Fufu Nara

"Perfect. The room had a private hot spring, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. There were deer groves right outside the door."
