"Such a lovely place to stay. Great view over the lagoon, watch the fishermen boats drifting by, sunsets are so beautiful. What made my stay so special was the host.He was so kind, even woke up before sunrise to walk me to the bus station making sure I could then travel on safetly yo my next destination. Room had a fan but srill found it a bit hot. It did not worry me anout the cold shower as it was quite a relief. Clean room and comfy bed. Definitely come and stay here."

"We initially booked for one day, but loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay. Everything was excellent – from the reception and check-in to the pool, beach access, and breakfast. Breakfast had a good variety and was served quickly. There are even squirrels hopping around the hotel! The pool is warm and convenient. There are sun loungers around the pool, and the sun shines directly overhead, perfect for tanning. Beautiful sunsets, and a beach nearby with loungers you can use if you order from the cafe, where you can relax and swim. It's close to the airport, making it ideal for a rest before departure or after arrival. The sea in Negombo was the warmest we experienced during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka."

"Jetwing Lagoon, a piece of amber left behind by Bawa. A half-hour drive away from the hustle and bustle of the airport, and you're plunged into the tropical narrative of this architectural poet. Bawa uses light and shadow as his brush, writing a Sri Lankan-style tranquility on the shores of the lagoon—the roughness of concrete embraces the swaying palm trees, the corridors are like time tunnels, leading you into a colonial dream of the last century. The guest rooms are truly a footnote to Southeast Asia: rattan, teak, and lazy-turning ceiling fans fulfill all your fantasies about south of the equator. As for cleanliness, it's merely a minor flaw; who cares before the divine artistry of Bawa's architecture? Open the window and you're greeted by the symphony of blue and green of the lagoon; egrets are frequent visitors at dawn and dusk; the scenery here heals everything. Choosing this place is essentially about engaging in a dialogue with the master."

The setting is lush - once a family coconut plantation now a boutique hotel with stunning gardens a pool and a meticulously kept 7 gorgeous roomed hotel with history and comfort. It only gets better when you have fabulous food and service. Pradep, Ishan and Kavishka looked after us beautifully and we had absolutely nothing but a brilliant time. Highly recommended."

"Our bus tour had a night here before flying to the Maldives. Noticed tours seem to be put in the older part of the hotel after talking to other people staying. Room was big and huge outdoor area off room. We had a swim late afternoon. The tiles around the pool were so slippery. Quite dangerous. Good to see a separate kids pool. None of us did the buffet dinner as had a big lunch on the way. Some ordered off the menu, some had room service and I ate from the street food area on the beach. They advertised quite a few food items but then didn't have them. It was a bit of a strange system. You paid at one area then they gave you coupons to hand over at the stalls. One stand forgot my order or didn't remember me handing the coupon over."

"Location: Easy to find, navigation was accurate. Service: Family-run guesthouse. The owner is American and kindly moved our car to make room for us, worried we wouldn't be able to park. Facilities: Swimming pool, the kids played there for a while. Room: There was a drying rack! We washed several days' worth of clothes. Meals: This was our second-to-last night in Sri Lanka. We left early the next morning to return the car, so we didn't order breakfast. Two shortcomings: The blankets didn't have covers, leading to reasonable suspicion that they hadn't been changed. In short, my usually thick-skinned companion complained of intense itching, and even someone from northern China who can go two days without changing clothes insisted on changing out of their T-shirt after getting up. The kids, even in short sleeves, scratched themselves until they were red. I didn't feel itchy at all while wearing long sleeves and pants. The price of 400 was inflated."

"Me and my friend had gone for a 15 day visit to sri lanka in the month of Dec and every hotel we stayed we enjoyed their facilities and breakfast.. we stayed in hotel sico on 31st Dec for a a night.. we were welcomed and we loved the hotel room . Beautiful place and they even arranged for a router in our room as their wifi was not working. We paid 4000/- sri lankan currency for 2 people for breakfast. We had a flight to catch on 1st Jan and the breakfast arranged for us right from the start was horrible. I asked for black coffee and literally the coffee and water looked separate. Asked for sri lankan omelette which supposed to have chillies and tomatoes. I got plain omelette and when I asked him to make another one with chillies and tomatoes, the waiter got it a plate with just cut chillies and tomatoes. I don't think the waiter understood anything what we were requesting. Since we were hungry we were eating whatever they were giving us. The bread was cold and not toasted. What shocked us was when my friend asked for a vegetable sandwich and she bit into it and there was a small toothpick which was holding the sandwich together and it hurt her so much. But they didn't care. When we asked for refund, they kept saying that we ate the breakfast , so they can't give. Such a disappointment to end the trip with.."

"Perfect location yet peaceful! Very well-maintained rooms with a lovely balcony and quiet air conditioning. The property is exceptionally well-kept, as is immediately apparent from the garden. It's not far from the beach, and our favorite restaurants are right next door. The grounds are also gated, providing a sense of security."

"We arrived at the hotel around 1:30 in the morning — exhausted, but not without having planned ahead. We had already informed the reservation team about our late check-in at the time of booking, so we expected things to be in order. They were not. When we walked into our room, it was clear that it hadn't been properly prepared. There was no toothpaste, no toothbrush, and the television was switched on, yet the remote was nowhere to be found. But it was the middle of the night, and we were running empty. So we simply took a shower and collapsed into bed, choosing to deal with it all in the morning. The next day, we headed down for breakfast, and to be fair, the food was genuinely good. However, I had to rush back to the room for a meeting, so I asked my wife to bring my meal up. She kindly spoke with the restaurant staff and requested that our selected dishes be sent to the room. To our surprise, they refused, saying they couldn't bring some of the items upstairs. My wife, already a bit worn out from the night before, was understandably upset. Frustrated, she walked away. Somehow, after all of that, they ended up bringing everything to the room anyway. We have stayed at nearly every Jetwing property across the island, and this has been, by far, the most disappointing experience we have ever had."
