"The first time in my life that I got a bad review on a hotel! We arrived at the hotel at 14:40 in the afternoon and were told that the room had not been cleaned up and asked us to wait for a while. We were out to play and just endured it. As a result, we waited until 15:30 in the afternoon and were told that a room was cleaned up and we had to wait again! ! The hotel has breached the contract if we cannot check in at the check-in time! There was also a small episode in the middle. I went to make an appointment for the hot springs. The front desk told me that it was full today. I asked what about tomorrow. He said that no one had made an appointment tomorrow and it would open at 10 o'clock. I said I would make an appointment at 10 o'clock. The front desk guy said: Ah, do you have to be on time? No, I want to ask, I will check out at 12 o'clock, what time do you want me to make an appointment? ? ? ? We stayed in a room with a yard. The yard had a very bad sewer smell. Ningcheng Mountain Chahua Hotel ★★

"For a hotel in a small county, there's little to complain about here. The room was clean & warm and came with a soft bed & a hot shower - both of which were appreciated after some long, cold days out. Seeing the glow of the hotel at night was always a comforting sight when heading home. Check in & cleaning staff were friendly & helpful, even when working over the holiday period. Had no issues checking in as a foreigner. Staff were also more than happy for me to leave my bags on the last day, & let my partner & my friend hang out in the large lobby as we waited for various cabs. Breakfast was not bad. I especially enjoyed the pickles. Location wise, it's within walking distance of the old square & old train station, as well as Khitan Street & the snack street. Ningcheng center (Tianyi) itself is small so everything is really within walking distance, though in winter you might want to take a cab to anywhere a little further away. Ningcheng Railway station is probably not walkable, but only takes around 15 minutes in a car (there's also rental ebikes all over the city, which might be preferable when the weather is warmer). Overall a very pleasant stay."
