"The hotel's facilities are indeed new and well-equipped. The bellboy was enthusiastic and helped carry our luggage directly to the room. The lake view room offered an excellent view of the entire Tianming Lake, and the breakfast was fantastic, especially the sea urchin wontons. We also enjoyed local specialties like Ninghai Maibing and Three-Color Pastry. However, there were a few downsides: Firstly, there was a strange odor in the hallways and rooms. The first room even had a strong smell of smoke, which affected our mood despite the front desk promptly changing our room. Secondly, the balcony door and air conditioning are linked, so the AC automatically turns off when the door is opened. This was frustrating on hot days when we wanted both ventilation and cool air. Additionally, since the hotel is not in a central area, there were occasional instances of straw burning, which affected both public areas and the balcony. Lastly, the hotel's overall service consciousness could use some improvement."

"I used up my annual leave at the end of the year and took a trip to An Lan, spending two days in Ninghai and two in Anchang. I jokingly called it a high-end mountain retreat! First, let's talk about Ninghai An Lan. Following my friend's advice, I made sure to book a stand-alone villa instead of a stacked villa. This allowed me to enjoy an almost perfect, 'lung-cleansing' hot spring experience and the thoughtful service of our butler, Rico. The room was huge. As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by a stunning, oversized terrace and a mountain-view living room. The next day, when the sun came out, the dappled light was simply delightful. The two guest rooms on the second floor were completely independent except for a shared balcony. Each had two sinks and a private hot tub, which was perfect for a group of four. The entire hotel occupies two hilltops. For villa guests, getting to the restaurant is convenient, just a golf cart ride away. However, getting to the front desk requires a transfer, which is slightly more hassle than for stacked villa guests – though, conversely, stacked villa guests find it less convenient to get to the restaurant. The hotel opened in 2019, and while the room hardware is maintained, some issues were apparent: the balcony door was broken and couldn't be opened, there was a sewage smell from the bathroom sink (a common issue in many high-end hotels in China, surprisingly), and the guest room door had also undergone repairs. However, none of this detracted from my overflowing positive feelings for Ninghai An Lan when I finally soaked in the longed-for 'Elysian Bath'. I finally experienced a Japanese-style open-air onsen in China! It's exclusive to guests and requires a reservation, ensuring privacy. The generously sized pool and the cleverly designed landscape made me feel like I was in Kurokawa Onsen. I highly recommend going between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM to witness the sunset and the moment the lights turn on. All the year's hard work felt soothed away in the swirling mist. I was personally very satisfied with the hotel's breakfast. I don't like to judge breakfast quality by the sheer number of dishes. For me, having freshly cooked clay pot porridge, Ningbo's local specialty noodle bar (and it was delicious!), homemade tofu pudding, and eggs Benedict, all combined with the beautiful morning mountain mist, was more than enough! Finally, a side note: during the National Day holiday, I visited the Kurokawa Onsen town in Japan and experienced the renowned Moonlight Tree Onsen Hotel. Looking back at Ninghai and Ninghai An Lan, I can't help but feel that Ninghai itself, as a hot spring destination, also enjoys a great reputation. However, both the town's development and the supporting facilities of high-end hotels fall short compared to the marketing and operational prowess of the Japanese. It feels like a real shame (of course, the price of one night at Moonlight Tree could cover four nights in a two-bedroom villa at Ninghai An Lan...). I truly hope that one day Ninghai can attract hot spring enthusiasts from all over the world, and I hope An Lan is just the beginning."

"The room was spacious and bright. The first-floor room had a small courtyard with a table and chairs for relaxing while enjoying tea. The room was new, with a wide selection of TV programs, including IPTV. It also came with a small tea set and white tea. The shower was large, and the toilet was fully automated. The air conditioning was excellent! The front desk service was excellent, and the friendly receptionist even upgraded me to a double room upon check-in, which was very thoughtful. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Qiantong Ancient Town, as it's only a 7-8 minute walk away."

"A newly opened hot spring resort in Ninghai. I took my mom there to experience it. We stayed one night. We went on a Tuesday, probably because it wasn't the weekend, so it wasn't crowded. Overall, the experience was good. The staff, including Xiaotong, were very welcoming. The bathroom facilities were complete. The Dyson hairdryer was a plus. The bathrobes and yukatas were of good quality and the material was very comfortable to wear, though a bit too big. The buffet had a good variety of dishes, and the taste was all quite good—light and refreshing. My mom was very satisfied and said she would come again if she had the chance. Getting there and back by Didi (ride-hailing service) was very convenient and the price wasn't expensive."

"After checking in at the lobby, you'll need to hike a short distance up the mountain. The housekeeper will meet you at the intersection. She's very friendly, helping with your luggage and greeting you warmly every time you see her in the morning. The cabins are quite unique, with a great mountain environment. At night, you'll find small geckos and large spiders in your room, and in the morning, you'll see all sorts of insects. Those who enjoy nature can choose the cabins, while those who aren't accustomed to staying in the mountains can opt for the hotel rooms up the mountain. They're all shared, and breakfast is served on the first floor. The hot springs are also very clean, with different types of pools, and very relaxing."

"A fantastic hotel! I passed by while hiking and was amazed to find such a beautiful and elegant hotel nestled deep in the valley of Yandang Mountain. My stay was incredibly comfortable; breakfast and dinner were delicious, and every night I would soak in the hot spring in my room before bed – it was so relaxing. The staff were warm, polite, and attentive, especially the young man from Guangxi, Xiao Ge, at the front desk, who made me feel right at home. It's very convenient to hike nearby, with both the starting and ending points right at the hotel. The spring water from a small waterfall near the hotel is the best I've ever tasted. I heard it can even float a 5-cent coin (it's very high in minerals). The stargazing and moon-viewing at night were also amazing. I posted this on my WeChat Moments: "Spending the night in the deep valley of Yandang, I woke up in the middle of the night to find the summer heat completely gone, the cool night air refreshing. Looking up at the sky, the Milky Way was brilliant, and the Big Dipper was clearly visible. Suddenly, I felt a sense of clarity and emptiness, approaching a state of profound spiritual awareness, and suddenly understood the wonder of perfect emptiness.""

The hallway smelled bad, the room leaked, and the toothbrush had been used by someone else and was in the drawer. It's quite nice, clean, reasonably priced, stylish, and offers free parking."
