"Very good onsen hotel, 20 minutes JR from Kyoto, after arriving at the train station you can call the hotel to arrange a free shuttle, 5 minutes drive to the hotel, very convenient. Maybe July is the off-season for hot spring hotels, and this stay was very value for money, choosing a room with a private bath, plus a one-night-two package. The room is very large, the private bath on the terrace is the kind of non-stop running water, without having to turn on the tap yourself. The room was very clean and tidy, the drinks in the mini bar were all free. The staff has a sweet smile and is considerate. The hotel has four public hot springs, each with its own characteristics, especially the Moonlight Hot Spring open-air hot spring located in Paradise, where you can watch the stars and moon while soaking in the hot springs and have an unbeatable lake view during the day. Very enjoyable. If you visit Kyoto next time, you may choose to stay at this hotel for two nights and enjoy the hotel facilities."

Ofuro Café New Biwako Hotel

"I stayed for business, but I heard that the hotel had a public bath, so I made a reservation hoping to relax in a bath after work. The space was more comfortable than I expected, with a sauna and an open-air bath, and the food served within the facility was delicious. Breakfast was simple, but was included and I was able to relax thoroughly. I'd definitely like to use the hotel again if there is a machine available."

Ogoto Onsen Yunoyado Komolebi

"I like it very much. It is not worse than Yuyuanguan, and the price is good. The chef's cooking skills are very high. The decoration is a bit old-fashioned, and it feels like a Japanese drama. The hot spring robe is better than Yuyuanguan. The dinner is invincible and delicious! Wagyu! Mushroom rice! Sukiyaki! I ate so much! But the breakfast is not very delicious. The pickled cucumber tastes the same as in China. I thought I couldn't eat it far away from Shanghai. In the end, it tasted like the pickled cucumber and pickled radish at home. But it's very photogenic! There are all kinds of colors, but the taste is killed by the xiaolongbao, wontons and pancakes in my hometown Shanghai. The hot spring in Yuyuanguan is very comfortable! There is just an old lady who keeps coming in to clean the hot spring in the morning! I was scared and didn't care about the front and the back. It was so embarrassing!"

Ogotoso

"The service is really good, and the breakfast with dinner is also very good. There is no independent bathroom in the room, and the sound insulation is very poor. You can hear clearly the dishes being arranged and cars passing by in the corridor outside. You will be given 40 minutes of private hot spring time, but the hot spring you are assigned depends on luck. I saw that there is also a room key for an outdoor hot spring. Attached is the view from the window of the lake view room."

"This hotel was recommended to us by a Japanese friend. It exceeded our expectations by far. Beautiful Japanese design (combination of old and new), spacious room with all amenities, very friendly staff and free coffee/tea/wine and snacks. The good news is that it was only a short train ride from Kyoto. We were so happy to escape from all the tourists. Otsu is an authentic village with charming Local shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend to stay at hotel Koo!"
