It is recommended. Good value for money whether traveling alone, with family or with friends. It's a casual ryokan, but the staff are very friendly and the hospitality makes you feel at home. I couldn't eat all the cooked rice for dinner, and I couldn't drink the local sake, so when I tried to take it home, they prepared rice balls for rice and a small tray for sake. After making the bed, there were small flowers in the room. Most of the dishes are prepared on a tray, but the large amount will fill you up. Next time I would like to go to Hirosaki when the cherry blossom festival is held.

We wish to express our highest appreciation to the host of Shokanto Onsen Ryokan because she was very kind although she told us she will not manage to prepare breakfast for us due to our schedule was too early, but she was very kind, she woke up early to prepare a simple onigiri for us to bring together when we left. Thank you very much. The room 's windows open to cherry trees. The lighting in the room was amazing which can be control in many modes. The location can reach easily with taxi for about 26 min from Hirosaki Station.

I stayed without breakfast and booked in a single room. The scenery was beautiful and the best because it was on the Iwakiyama side! The sauna was also comfortable and it was a hot spring. I went for a drink at night, but there were many drinkers. There was a highball all-you-can-drink shop just behind the hotel, and I could drink a lot cheaply. The tonpei yaki at this store was excellent. It was the most delicious I've ever eaten. I was able to go from here to the Shirakami Mountains I was looking for in about 30 minutes, but the period I went was regulated and I couldn't go to the mother tree. It was to the visitor center in the foreground. You can go to the mother tree from the mountain trail, but it is difficult and not suitable for families with children. It is also close to the Iwakiyama trailhead. The royal road is to climb from Iwakiyama Shrine, but it is impossible for amateurs. It was a difficult steep slope because it was called Shugendo. You can drive to the 8th station, so it's better to go from there. The Shirakami Mountains were a World Heritage Site in the virgin beech forest, but visually it was not much different from ordinary mountains.

I booked a Mezzone type suite for 3 people. The French full course dinner that I was looking forward to was very delicious and very satisfied. However, the waiter's elderly man was not used to it, and he brought a drink that he did not ask or forgot what he asked. The inclusive drink system was called ”drinking free”, the explanation of the dish was mistaken, and the dish was tried to give the dish on the way to eating I was a little sorry that I didn't feel like it was not suitable for the atmosphere of Hakkoda Hotel. The public bath is on the 14th floor. We stayed for 2 nights from April 19 just before the Sakura Festival. 15400 yen. Take the Dote Cho circulation bus of 100 yen from Hirosaki station, get off at the blue silver Dote Cho branch, and it is very convenient in front of you. It is an old but large hotel with a single facility and a wedding hall. However, the bathtub is super narrow, and if you don't sit in the gym, you have to put it in, and if you try to catch it to your shoulder, you have to enter the sea cucumber. It is a washlet but it is a cold toilet seat. ＷＩＦＩ was difficult to connect and troubled by time. There is one electric stand on the desk, but it is dark because there is no light on the ceiling, and I borrowed one more.
