"Julia and Iain made us feel welcome from the second we stepped through the door. I have stayed at Blue Waters by myself as well as with my husband . This time was just myself and my 6 year old grand daughter . I feel comfortable enough to stay there with her as it feels like home . Nothing was to much trouble and they even had little person size cutlery at breakfast . We stayed in the smaller twin room , which was more than big enough . 2 single beds, wardrobe , chest of drawers , fridge with fresh milk and water . Kettle , biscuits ,various teas and coffee . Very comfortable and clean . It’s close enough to the sea front with out being on the main road with Paignton pier and beach 5 min walk away and bus and train station within walking distance . Julia and Iain are genuinely lovely people and I can’t recommend Blue Water enough. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else now . This place is much more than a B and B . To me , it’s home from home . My WiFi connected automatically from the last time I stayed which made me chuckle. Don’t waste your time looking at other places , once you’ve stayed here you won’t want to stay anywhere else"

"A fabulous hotel which we found by accident and so glad we did. Martin and Jo are lovely hosts , nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room was spacious and very clean , with a large and oh so comfortable bed . We had continental breakfast two mornings which had everything anyone could need including fresh strawberries and an assortment of yogurts and cereals. Hot fresh cooked toast topped it off . Our third morning we opted for hot English breakfast . Martin made me the best plain omelet I have ever had cooked in a hotel . Lovely juicy mushrooms, bacon ,sausage, hash browns and eggs cooked every which way were available with beans or tomatoes. Also eggs Benedict for those who prefer . Martin and Jo are perfect hosts , chatty and knowledgeable and very friendly . The hotel is only 100 metres from the beach front and parking is available 70 meters away . If your looking for a great, clean, friendly , small hotel then this is for you . We would definitely return . Thank you Jo and Martin ."

"What a lovely stay we had here, the hosts were fantastic and lived up to their high ratings, nothing was too much trouble and it was central to all attractions with parking right outside with no charges. The breakfast was excellent and exceeded expectations and everything you need for a comfortable stay was in the room. We are looking forward to returning for another visit as they won’t be beaten on quality or value."

"Second visit here since James and Christine took over. It's great. It's clean, well organised and really comfortable. Recommend James' breakfasts. It's nice to feel really well looked after, and it's great value. Also - 2 minutes from the lovely Preston Sands, slightly less busy than Paignton main seafront, and great for a paddle in the evening when the heat has gone!"

"Honestly I do not recommend this place at all. The entire experience scared me to the point where I had a nightmare about it. As soon as you walk in it’s like a child’s paradise, how this place is advertised for couples is actually beyond me. The room we were offered was tiny, Vernon said we weren’t welcome to stay on the Saturday, so we booked somewhere else and he’s refused to give us back the £160 we paid (even though he was flaunting that he’s a millionaire and doesn’t need anyone’s money). Just a really sketchy experience."

"A beautiful little B&B. Fantastic location. The welcome we had was friendly, informative and second to none! We were shown around and were very impressed. An honesty Bar! Loved the idea and was more impressed with the trust the hosts give their guests..wow!. We stayed in the room called pebbles, STUNNING and SPOTLESS! Im very fussy but the room was sooo clean for the first time i actually unpacked completely and used the full facilites. The shower was the best iv ever had (wanted to take it home haha) so powerful and always nice and hot. The room was so well decorated and modern and the bed was extremely comfortable. The TV was on a swivel bracket and had a built in DVD player. The hosts have book shelves in the hallways offering books and a very large DVD collection for their guests to borrow. The breakfast was 10/10!! The hosts mark and debbie was so friendly and welcoming and the rest of the staff were also 10/10! Nothing was to much trouble. I would highly recommend this place to stay and will most definately return. Wonderful stay xx"
