"The floor was sticky and dirty. Thought they cleaned it after I asked. There is a lot of mould in the bathroom, which is highly disappointing. Apart from that it was okay. Location is perfect."

"The Great Southern Hotel Melbourne is our preferred hotel whenever we travel to Melbourne. It is strategically located near to tram and Southern Cross station. It also provide the option of early check in at 10am despite we need to pay $30 for this option which i think is reasonable, as we can rest in hotel early after a long journey."

"I recently stayed at an Ibis Style Melbourne Airport Hotel, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. The receptionist, Linda, was absolutely amazing—her friendliness and helpfulness made a great first impression. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided the perfect environment for a good night's rest before my flight the next morning.  The complimentary shuttle bus service was incredibly convenient and made getting to the airport a breeze. I truly appreciated this added benefit. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and will definitely return during my next trip. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍"

"The hotel is really average but at in an excellent location. The reception staff are all very friendly. They could do better in terms of the cleanliness of the hotel especially the carpets and the lifts. Rooms were extremely dusty but we made do. Otherwise in terms of location is excellent!"

"The location is great—close to the CBD, so no issues there. However, the bathroom layout was disappointing. There was no holder for essentials inside the shower, and the towel rack was placed far from the shower area. I'm not sure how they came up with such an impractical design. Overall, I’d say the hotel deserves an average rating."

"I loved the location — it’s set in a comfortable part of the Docklands with a shopping centre nearby. The room and bed were very good, providing a comfortable stay. However, my only disappointment was the cleanliness: many surfaces, including the cups, had fingerprints and grease marks, which suggested a lack of proper cleaning. I ended up cleaning them myself. That said, the staff were excellent — especially at the front desk, where they were professional, welcoming, and very helpful."

"I recently stayed at the Rydges Hotel on Exhibition Street in Melbourne, and I can’t fault it. It was a wonderful experience. One of the highlights was the 24/7 reception service, which made everything feel convenient and welcoming. The pool, gym, and outdoor area were excellent for a change of scenery and added to the overall comfort of my stay. In terms of amenities, the “Thank You” shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers were a nice touch—handy for my next visit. However, I did find it a little disappointing that disposable slippers and bathrobes weren’t provided, as these would have added an extra level of comfort. The bathrooms were spotless, with tiled flooring and a great showerhead that made the space feel modern and fresh. A room service menu was provided, which I thought was convenient and fairly priced, though I didn’t use it. The kitchen closed at 10:00 pm, but drinks were still available around the clock, which I appreciated. The only aspect that fell short was housekeeping. When I requested my room to be freshened up, I expected vacuumed floors, a cleaned toilet, and fresh sheets. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case, particularly on my last night when I was most looking forward to clean bedding. Overall, though, my stay at Rydges was highly enjoyable, and I’d happily return. With just a few improvements in housekeeping and small touches like slippers and robes, it would be near perfect."

"The room was clean and spacious with coffee making facilities and microwave. The bathroom had full size hand and body wash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner which was great to see. Staff were helpful. Easy walking distance to Marvel Stadium if you're a concert goer. Buffet breakfast on level 4 was sufficient for $21 if prebooked, $25 for a walking."
