Yizhai Medieval Stay (1) room had a bad musty smell (2) couldn't get the hansgrohe shower to work, as it was very late, instead of waking the owner, I took a bath, the water from the bath was barely lukewarm. (3) there was no floor towel provided, after the floor got wet it became very slippery, I slipped at least 3 times. (4) the toilet seat was cracked and the toilet seat hinge was not maintained, no matter how careful I was the seat would slip to one side and cause me to jolt my back. (5) the toilet flush handle was not working properly, have to manually push the handle back into its original position after each flush. (6) the projector screen was too large and I kept on banging into it (7) have to close windows for quiet, if leave them open everytime a car goes past sounds like someone is knocking on your door The staff were polite but unhelpful about the toilet issue, they said they would notify the boss but couldn't fix the problems. They didn't offer a room change. The above problems spoiled my stay experience. Apart from the above problems, I loved the decor, espec the panda cushion and the faux fireplace. The bathrobe was nice. There is room for improvement.

The place has so much history and culture - we are privileged to be able to be able to experience it all during our time in Jianshui. The host (Zhao) is amazing - when we first arrived, he brought us around the place and told us all about it. During our stay, he goes above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable. He even accompanied me to the pharmacy to get some medication. We felt right at home after a day and felt sad to leave. This place is close enough to the ancient city (7 min by foot). Around the corner, there is a local morning market. It’s small but you could see the hustle and bustle and even pick up some local fruits/food! Room is not big but it is sufficient and clean. We weren’t confined to our room because the communal area is very inviting. You get to play with the occasional resident cat and dog! Overall, this is a highly recommended for travelers seeking unique experiences!

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this lovely homestay in Jianshui. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, giving us a comfortable place to relax after exploring the town. The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short walk or ride to Jianshui's historic old town, the Confucius Temple, and the beautiful Zhu Family Garden. The architecture and local atmosphere were charming, and we felt like we got a real taste of traditional Yunnan culture. Our hosts also provided great suggestions for local food and sights, which made our trip even more memorable. This homestay was the perfect base for discovering the beauty and history of Jianshui. Highly recommended—we would happily stay here again!

房間位置便利，步行幾分鐘就到古城火車站，緊鄰商圈，購物也方便。房間不算大，設施簡單而齊全，廁所洗澡水很大，熱水澡很舒服，沒有做乾濕分離，洗澡🚿後就會把廁所打濕，甚至會影響房間，反映後老闆立刻來處理，服裝態度很好。在同一位置，該民宿的價格比其他民宿要便宜，注重經濟實惠的，可以推薦選擇這家。

Upon arrival, we were greeted rather coldly with a somewhat unwelcoming attitude, though this may have been cultural difference or surprise at seeing non-Chinese visitors. Fortunately, another staff member arrived shortly after who spoke English and actually smiled at us, which improved the situation. Our bags were then taken upstairs. We were upgraded to a larger room for free, which was a nice gesture. The rooms are super spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with excellent storage capacity. The shower had good pressure and was spacious, which was great. One thing to note: there was something sticking out between the carpet and wooden floor at the entrance that I caught my foot on, causing it to bleed. Fortunately I'm vaccinated for tetanus, but it's something that needs fixing. The building and corridors look fancy with high ceilings, though some parts of the lobby and second floor don't match this standard. Service Issues: The housekeeping lady asked us irrelevant and pushy questions in a rather rough manner instead of listening to our queries. Some other staff including reception and kitchen staff were not reading our messages fully and responding too quickly, rushing instead of taking their time to actually listen to their customers. That said, many employees in the kitchen, reception, and porters are lovely and genuinely try their best to help. The gym is genuinely great - it looks like a modern city gym of good standard. However, guests don't put equipment back in their place, leaving it messy. There are massage chairs available on the floor, which is a nice touch. The hotel also has an Olympic swimming pool, though I didn't get a chance to try it. The included meals (all three meals a day) were of good quality and plentiful. However, I was surprised by the limited vegetarian options, especially considering this city is supposedly the tofu capital. Some guests had poor manners at the buffet, putting communal serving spoons close to their mouth and nose to sniff the food before the next person uses that same spoon. A general observation about visiting China: what they call ”aunties” (older female staff) can be unnecessarily rough and rude. Being older doesn't give anyone the right to be overconfident about their skills or treat guests poorly. This varies by province and hotel standard, but it was noticeable here. Noise was an issue - I wish both staff and other guests would be more considerate about volume levels in the corridors. I also wish there was a quiet lounge option separate from the lobby for those wanting a peaceful space. Major issue on departure: I requested the free drop-off service to the train station and made it very clear we needed to leave at 10:00am sharp. I received confirmation that this would be a private transfer. However, on the day, this simply wasn't true - it was a shared transfer with other guests who were very inconsiderate and arrived late. This kind of situation is extremely frustrating as it can disrupt your plans and create unnecessary stress. Positive note: The old town is not far by taxi and is much better than Lijiang - less of a tourist zoo with a better vibe. Overall, the spacious, clean upgraded room with good storage and shower, along with decent facilities, are appreciated. However, service consistency needs improvement, particularly around actually listening to customer requests. Additionally, the behavior of some other guests detracted from the experience.

入住後的第一感覺，既有中式庭院的休閑style，又遠比許多標準酒店要乾淨衞生整潔。小院內的中式迴廊、池塘游魚、鮮花綠植、鞦韆吊椅等讓整個居住空間閑適安逸。民宿鬧中取靜，離建水古城地標朝陽門700米，沿途是石頭鋪地的古街，古城氛圍濃郁。老闆夫婦及清掃阿姨們都非常nice，説賓至如歸絕不為過。坐在迴廊的原木茶台前與鄰居們喝茶聊天曬太陽，感受青瓦映庭芳，閑居慢時光，非常的治癒。民宿二樓有潔凈的廚房，設備調料等齊全，外加臨近農貿市場，自己做餐非常方便。

驚喜滿滿的入住體驗 這次入住真的太驚喜了！酒店完全顛覆了我對傳統酒店的印象，從踏入大堂的那一刻起，就感受到了滿滿的用心。 硬件設施方面、公共區域的現代化設計，都讓人感覺非常舒適和高級，完全沒有那種陳舊感。客房設施非常齊全且舒適，尤其是床墊軟硬適中，支撐性很好，躺上去非常放鬆，讓我睡了一個超級舒服的好覺。整個環境佈置得非常温馨，讓人一進門就有一種”回家”的感覺。 服務體驗更是加分項。每一位工作人員都面帶親切的笑容，服務態度非常熱情周到。從入住到離店，每一個環節都讓人感覺被尊重和重視。 總的來説，這是一家環境美、服務好的酒店，強烈推薦給所有追求品質的旅客！

被建水的暖陽曬的不想走，每天的續房 陸續住了有十天，早上踩着鐵軌去古城走街串巷曬太陽，傍晚在夕陽的餘暉下再次踩着鐵軌回來，一種宿命感，就知道在鐵軌的那一頭 有一個可以讓你回去的地方。 建水很慢，慢的無事可做，建水又很快，陽光曬在身上，一天嗖的一下又過去了。經營青旅的是一對很酷的情侶，大家志趣相投，12月的客人很少，但這樣也就聊的更多，從另一個環境過來也解了我心中乏悶。偶爾也會有新鮮的客人過來，比如傍晚一個從英國騎車而來的不速之客，感覺又找回了十幾年前住yha青旅的感覺，09年的冬天在蘇州小雅那短住的半個月。 青年旅舍遠不是“廉價住宿”的範圍，而是“在路上”精神的座標，三個月之前我在巴薩羅那一家青旅牆上看到一句話，“不要追隨道路指引的方向 而是去沒有道路的地方 並留下一串座標”。是的，青年旅舍應該是一個你冒險在路上如烏託邦的容器，它樸素 安全 分享 包容，它提倡冒險 它鼓勵信任，它讓你可以用最小的經濟付出，讓看世界的夢想得以可能。

錯開五一高峯區，朋友一起出遊，看點評不錯，訂了一晚，小院環境不錯，房間設施齊全，智能馬桶，床品舒服，公共區域超讚，離紫陶街，古城都很近，出乎意料的驚喜，乾淨衞生，性價比很高，

It's a hostel with a very homely environment. The manager will invite you to drink tea with him, the courtyard is a very chill area to hang out in and even spend all day to the sound of flowing water and surrounded by plants. There is a kitchen available too, and the manager brings water from the well daily for the use of the guests. The dorm was comfortable and the lower beds have curtains but the upper ones don't. The manager sometimes organises events for the guests, such as the time when we went picking mushrooms and visited a local market from where we bought more mushrooms which were cooked for dinner, all at a very good price. The location is excellent, just 1 minute walking to the south gate of the ancient city. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Jianshui.
