"It was a very lovely experience staying in this hotel. We came to the parking lot and were already greeted by the host who brought us up to the house. We had a beautiful view over the rice fields from our balcony. Dinner and breakfast was delicious! We could walk from there to viewpoints and the cableway easily and the host gave us good advice. Sensitive sleepers will need some earplugs because as it is a rural area, the roosters start their concert very early in the morning. Also the checkout was very easy, we where brought again to the parking lot. I can definitely recommend this hotel."

"This was a local hotel that was situated on a peak facing Jinfoding (Golden Buddha Peak), so note it’s not on Jinfoding itself but still in the same area of Jinkeng Dazhai. I hired a driver via the hotel to fetch me from Guilin Airport to the hotel. Journey took about 3 hours using local roads, if you can somehow negotiate with your driver to take the expressway from the airport, it will be about an hour shorter and less scenic but also less nauseating. Access to hotel is pretty limited unless you hire a driver or you drive. If you take the bus from Guilin downtown/Airport, it will only alight you at the Dazhai parking lot, and you still need to make transport arrangements to get to the hotel within the scenic area (anywhere between 20-40min drive) but the boss is helpful and very contactable (phone call or wechat). I wouldn’t recommend walking to the hotel cos it is situated at the top of a pretty steep hill and it is a one-car lane that goes both ways with many blind spots. At the hotel, you could choose to walk and hike the terraces to other viewpoints in Jinkeng, but note that the routes will be very long and exhausting. If you plan to visit other villages like Ping An Zhai, it’s about an hour’s drive away on mountain roads, and it’s best if you hire a driver as well. Overall, room was very clean and spacious and was true to trip.com description and pictures. Very comfortable, clean and scenic stay! Shower and toilet are separate and clean. There’s a bathtub situated right behind the bed, they provided disposable bathtub liner if you want to use it. Hotel is situated near one of the viewpoints in Jinkeng, but it was very misty on the day I hiked. From what I could make out through the mist, the views seem pretty epic. View from the room is great and the boss provided a welcome sweet rice wine drink with lunch which was great! The boss gave me some luohanguo as a souvenir when I checked out! Did I also mention, breakfast provided included a jar of fresh warm soy milk and a delicious bowl of rice noodles made to order! Will stay again in future!"

"The property is perfectly located in the heart of Ping'an, right 5 minutes walk from the bottom of the terraces of the 9 dragons 5 tigers terraces area, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the village and terraces on foot. Room was as shown in the pics, spacious, perfectly clean and featured very comfortable beds. The building’s architecture was absolutely beautiful and it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. There are multiple balconies with wonderful sights and at night it is magical to hear the terraces turning alive with all the frogs croacking sounds! Nonetheless the room was perfectly soundproof so you can sleep peacefully once you close the doors, regardless of the outer natural orchestra (very recommended to have a walk at night to the close 9 dragons and 5 tigers terraces! Unique experience for some). The staff were helpful and professional. There is a very good restaurant inside the building with very tasty local typical bamboo-cooked chicken, rice terrace fishes and many other tasty dishes. There are also traditional dressings to wear for free inside the main hall. Nice breakfast included in the price. We are very happy and we recommend this accommodation to stay in Longji Terraces area!"

"We were completely satisfied with our stay. The owner is very accommodating and helpful. He picked us up from the bus, arranged our return trip and prepared special meals for me every day due to my gluten intolerance. The staff are also very friendly. The rooms are clean and furnished with care. The property is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the billiard table. The location is also perfect for setting off on various hikes into the rice terraces. We would gladly come back."

"A family ran hotel with brand new amenities and really great views of the Jinkeng village rice terraces if you book the rooms with views. We only stayed for one night but we really appreciated the warm hospitality from the host family. The food, breakfast and dinner, were both quite good. Logistically, you have to contact the hotel to pick you up from the entrance of the Jinkeng village (bottom of the cable car) then it’s only a short 5-7 mins drive from there. We called the hotel thru our driver and everything worked out smoothly. Another highlight is that from this hotel, you can trek for about 40 mins thru the village and rice terrace to get to the highest viewing platform of the Jinkeng village. It was a bit of a workout but the views along the way was really worth it. The owner will send u a detailed guide of how to get there so you won’t get lost. Overall I would highly recommend for the views and the opportunity to trek a little deeper into the village and terraces and enjoy the tranquility there."

"I would absolutely recommend this place, the owners were so nice, it was clean, and the view was stunning. Service: If you contact them up front, they will also come to pick you up from the parking lot, and also bring you back to the parking lot the day you leave. I was also able to try on some traditional minority clothes and take photos from the hotel balcony which was great. Room: I booked a room with a view. Having breakfast on the balcony while enjoying the view of the rice terraces was so relaxing and nice. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and I found everything to be very clean. Location: Very convenient. Not too far from the road so luggage doesn't need to be carried far, and you can reach the Seven Stars and a Moon viewing platform (七星伴月观景台) , as well as the Nine Dragons and Five Tigers viewing platform (九龙五虎观景台) within 20-30 minutes on foot (if you're used to climbing stairs, otherwise it might take a little longer). The views from both places were also truly amazing and I recommend going at sunrise or sunset too. Overall, an amazing stay!"

"Love my stay, proprietors were welçoming, clean, had family meals, upgraded at no cost, hot water, heater great room patio views. The negative experience and *not connected with the hotel were the aggressive ethnic women vendors, they lie about their products, use guilt trip and aggression to try to get you to buy. I certainly don't want the lump them all together but in my seven encounters it was 100%, perhaps it's a cultural thing. I've told my proprietor and hopefully she'll warm them that it's harmful fleecing and being unpleasant."

"Very friendly family ran hotel. The greatest advantage is its location, which is only a few mins walk from one of the viewing platforms. The room are well maintained and clean. We booked the sunrise view room and the balcony looked like a painting. Logistically, you need to take the village tourist shuttle to get here from the Ping’an Village parking lot because it’s located within the protected area. You must let the ticket vendor know the name of your hotel so they drop you off at the right one (there are multiple hotels inside the protected area) This hotel is also about a 30 min walk from another viewing platform, which I would recommend doing if you have the time, as the walk was mostly flat and the scenery along the way was very nice as well. Breakfast is quite typical of the area and the dinner was also quite nice. Overall would stay here again!"

"The hostel was clean and neat. The room was large and comfortable, free upgrade to a room with great view. Thanks to the host. We enjoyed the day in LongJi. The host was nice, picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop. You can easily approach him for help at anytime. Even without free ride, it’s a walking distance from the bus stop to the hostel. If you wanna go uphill to enjoy the scene, you can even hike up or down from the hostel. There are some restaurants nearby. Or you can pre order the dinner at the hostel (tho we forgot to do so…). The breakfast prepared by the host was yummy, especially the noodles. Thank you. We would recommend this hostel to anyone who visits LongJi."
