"Extremely close to the Longmen Luoyang train station. Turn right out of the station, cross under the overpass, and you'll see the green sign about 300m away. The property is modern and well maintained, with none of the state cigarette smell that Chinese hotels often have. The room was comfortable with plenty of outlets and even a mini fridge! Water pressure was good and TreSemme brand shampoo and conditioner were available. Breakfast was good in both variety and quality. Vegan options included steamed corn, sweet potatoes, fruit, cold salad, braised tofu, and an oatmeal station with hot soymilk. There were also vegetable buns and youtiao but I don't know if those were vegan. Theres a basic gym and self-serve laundry room. It was nice to walk into the lobby after a cold day and warm up with the complimentary tea available. A taxi to Longmen grottoes took about 15 minutes and cost 10元. A Didi to Shaolin temple took about 1 hour by expressway and cost 190元. Overall I'd recommend this hotel and I would happily stay here again."

"Unbeatable location right next to Luoyi Ancient City and the main road, yet away from the crowds and noise. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby both on the main road side and the ancient city side. I had fallen sick  from an infection from my earlier trip but the lady boss and the person at night duty, both helped me to order food delivery (as my food delivery app was not working) and even delivered it to my room for two days. The cleaning staff do a very good job. There is free UV sterilized water available and they give snacks in the room at check-in. There is laundry machine available but I never used it. There is also a cozy room for reading/socializing/eating. I have never seen all these facilities in a hotel at this price. I didn't even get pressured to write a review like in other places. All in all, a great place to stay. "

"This boutique hotel/ luxury homestay is a perfect find. Nestled in the heart of the older part of the city, the hotel is a nicely curated property. The ambience and views within the hallways are picture perfect. Every small detail of every corner made you feel that you’re transported into a resort from an ancient era with a stylish modern twist. The room was perfect with a comfortable bed that makes it hard for you to part with. The water dispenser in the room was a very nice addition that made you not need to leave the room. Just a few things that could have made it more perfect. The open concept bathroom sometimes made the room have a slight odour. Floors to the shower were very slippery but they had adequate warnings about it. If the toilet had a bidet then it would be 10/10. The hotel also had no road access, apart from the parking lot at the back of it, so guests would have to navigate their luggage through the narrow hallways. Last but not least, their service was excellent. There was a welcome gift box with local snacks for guests. They even gave a check out gift with various Knick knacks that made guests remember them. Staying here definitely is as good if not better than some 4 or 5 star hotel chains."

"I was visiting Louyang with my dad from New Zealand. We had a pleasant stay at the Mercure in Luoyang. The hotel was good value and had clean and spacious rooms. The building felt quite new and the breakfast was great with lots of variety, similar to other buffet breakfasts we had in China. The staff were super helpful, and held our bags as we had a late train after check out. One of the staff, Shirley, spotted us at the train station in the evening and went above and beyond to help us get on the train early and made the whole experience so much smoother. Her kindness and attentiveness really made a difference."

"If I could give 11/10, I would. I came on the day of the heaviest snow this year. Just when I thought everything went wrong, it turned out to be memorable. Flight delay, then airport delayed flight parking due to the snow. My booked Didi (another app) driver left. Was stuck in the ONLY didi driver’s shared car making its way from Zhengzhou to Luoyang — he drove from 11pm to 5.30 am going at 40 to 50 km/h because the roads were iced up and slippery (even his car had slid through and hit the barriers twice) . The owner added the driver’s contact and waited up all night until the early morning for me to check in and carry the luggage up. The price, the location and the very nice owner make this homestay an excellent one — better than a hotel. There isn’t any elevators but the owner helps out with the luggage. The room is large and comfortable. He had turned on the heating for me before I arrived to warm up the room. The breakfast is delicious. The homestay is near to Luoyi Ancient city (a few minutes walk) and Luoyi Ancient City metro. His hand-drawn map highlights all the good spots. His daughter is adorable too."

"This is a brand new hotel and far surpassed my expectations. The facility is beautiful and modern. All expected amenities were included. Gorgeous bathroom with tub and separate toilet and shower areas. Breakfast is an amazing buffet of western and Chinese food. My only complaint is that the toilet had a faint smell."

"I never leave reviews but this little hotel is exceptional. It is conveniently located between key city landmarks, within walking distance of the imperial gate and the ancient old town — and a simple trip on the metro from the train station. Above all, the hotel is exceedingly peaceful. The rooms are designed largely in natural wood and soft, pale colors, with big windows letting in plenty of light. Mine looked out into a small courtyard, which echoed with the soothing sound of flowing water from what I assumed was a fountain underneath. A small window-side table with a lovely tea-set made for a perfect place to read and write; I would think this hotel would make a wonderful retreat for a writer, or someone simply hoping to get away, think, and sleep soundly. The staff were very kind and helpful and even brought breakfast to my room in the morning. I was sad to leave and would have stayed for longer if I did not have commitments elsewhere. "

"Would definitely recommend Ramada By Wyndham in Luoyang. The hotel location is good, making it easy to get around. Room was clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Emily in making sure my departure went smoothly. My only suggestion would be for non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms to be located on different sides of the floor or on separate floors - while my room was non-smoking, I found cigarette smoke coming into the room from people smoking around, which is unhealthy and unpleasant. Overall I had a great stay."
