"Extremely close to the Longmen Luoyang train station. Turn right out of the station, cross under the overpass, and you'll see the green sign about 300m away. The property is modern and well maintained, with none of the state cigarette smell that Chinese hotels often have. The room was comfortable with plenty of outlets and even a mini fridge! Water pressure was good and TreSemme brand shampoo and conditioner were available.
Breakfast was good in both variety and quality. Vegan options included steamed corn, sweet potatoes, fruit, cold salad, braised tofu, and an oatmeal station with hot soymilk. There were also vegetable buns and youtiao but I don't know if those were vegan. Theres a basic gym and self-serve laundry room. It was nice to walk into the lobby after a cold day and warm up with the complimentary tea available.
A taxi to Longmen grottoes took about 15 minutes and cost 10元. A Didi to Shaolin temple took about 1 hour by expressway and cost 190元.
Overall I'd recommend this hotel and I would happily stay here again."

"100塊錢超級值啊，因為現在是淡季。整個4樓都是我的，而且。屋子非常乾淨，設施十分齊全，而且投影儀也能用。淋浴系統也非常好。大部分東西都是一次性的，非常衞生。老闆人也非常好。嗯，有什麼問題直接給他提，他會帶着你教着你一步一步去完成。因為是相當於是半自助式的，嗯，晚上老闆是不在前台的，但是你衹要發消息，他就會到。"

Visitors to Luoyang will find that the Holiday Inn Express LUOYANG CITY CENTER by IHG is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Luoyang Longmen Railway Station located approximately 4km away and Luoyang Beijiao Airport roughly 17km away. Just a short walk from Citizens' Home Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Luoyang Sports Center, 43rd Luoyang Peony Culture Festival and Luoyang Convention and Exhibition Center all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

1st. C - the location is a 50meter from the Metro Station—no restaurants around the Hotel. We need to take two stations from the hotel to the Mall where there are plenty of restaurants and Shopping.
2nd Cleanness
The room and the toilet are clean.
The room furniture is not tired-looking.
Towels are changed daily, and so are the shower Gels.
3rd Customer Service is helpful as they assist us in going around Tourist Sites via local Metro and Didi.
Overall, it is worth staying in Luoyang.
Recommend staying three nights in Luoyang. This hotel is highly recommended.

"Unbeatable location right next to Luoyi Ancient City and the main road, yet away from the crowds and noise. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby both on the main road side and the ancient city side. I had fallen sick from an infection from my earlier trip but the lady boss and the person at night duty, both helped me to order food delivery (as my food delivery app was not working) and even delivered it to my room for two days. The cleaning staff do a very good job. There is free UV sterilized water available and they give snacks in the room at check-in. There is laundry machine available but I never used it. There is also a cozy room for reading/socializing/eating. I have never seen all these facilities in a hotel at this price. I didn't even get pressured to write a review like in other places. All in all, a great place to stay. "

"It's located about 1km away from the ancient town, still walkable but if you're feeling lazy, just grab a bike at the junction will do. Perhaps the only downside is that it's located inside a rather dark alley, especially when the night falls. Also, there's no lift in the building but the owner will help to carry if you have big luggage."

It is about 15 minutes' drive from Longmen Grotts, a national 5A scenic spot. It is adjacent to Luoyang Municipal Government, district government and other government centers, close to one-stop shopping center Superbrand Square and Quanshun Shopping Center. With free parking, a laundromat and a gym, you can wash off your tired body and enjoy French romance when you check in.
"I was visiting Louyang with my dad from New Zealand. We had a pleasant stay at the Mercure in Luoyang. The hotel was good value and had clean and spacious rooms. The building felt quite new and the breakfast was great with lots of variety, similar to other buffet breakfasts we had in China. The staff were super helpful, and held our bags as we had a late train after check out.
One of the staff, Shirley, spotted us at the train station in the evening and went above and beyond to help us get on the train early and made the whole experience so much smoother. Her kindness and attentiveness really made a difference."

"best location, quiet place, best manager he was really a gentleman with a very kindful wife and daughter. and family's sweetie daughter can speak English. The hostel is located in the best historical part of the city, out of all the hustle and bustle you suddenly enter a quiet and very clean place. take the exit A at Lijingmen metro station, this place is awesome I love it, room and bathroom were spotless and shower hot water pressure was pretty good. if I come back to China one day, I will definitely stay here again. I hope to meet this kind family again one day somewhere, although it is unlikely unfortunately."

They took me to the bank when I needed to is ean atm. They even brought me to the train station at the end of my stay. The room itself was good too in comparision to the price is cost me. Highly recommend this place."

SSharudin SaniThis boutique hotel/ luxury homestay is a perfect find. Nestled in the heart of the older part of the city, the hotel is a nicely curated property.
The ambience and views within the hallways are picture perfect. Every small detail of every corner made you feel that you’re transported into a resort from an ancient era with a stylish modern twist.
The room was perfect with a comfortable bed that makes it hard for you to part with. The water dispenser in the room was a very nice addition that made you not need to leave the room.
Just a few things that could have made it more perfect. The open concept bathroom sometimes made the room have a slight odour. Floors to the shower were very slippery but they had adequate warnings about it. If the toilet had a bidet then it would be 10/10. The hotel also had no road access, apart from the parking lot at the back of it, so guests would have to navigate their luggage through the narrow hallways.
Last but not least, their service was excellent. There was a welcome gift box with local snacks for guests. They even gave a check out gift with various Knick knacks that made guests remember them. Staying here definitely is as good if not better than some 4 or 5 star hotel chains.

Simply put, its worth visiting Luoyang just to stay at May Fourth Youth Hostel.
The level of cleanliness, amicability, overall positive yet low-key ambience should be the standard across the country. From the music choice in the lobby to the staff who run it, It's clear it has been designed and is run by people who really understand what it means to be a traveller and what makes a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (sometimes hostels can feel claustophobic - but not here), with beds having more space than typical, good quality pillow and duvets. Suited for both travellers from the east and west, there are seated and squat toilets, with a large array of showers. The washing machine is great (if they had a couple of good Dryers too that would be amazing), as well as the communal rooms with vending machines, pool table, and seating area (including the lovely quiet library space)
The location is decent too, a spacious cultural park is nearby with the hostel itself tucked away from the main street, creating convinience but not crowds. The price is perfect! ideal for young people, students and solo travellers visiting on a budget. My friend decided to stay here two more days just because of the comfort and facilities. As both a foreigner and a woman, i felt safe and welcome here so i reccommend friends from abroad to come check this place out. Possibly the best youth hostel i've had the pleasure of staying in

She even arranged her staff to take us to the pick up point as we had to leave early the next day. It’s a pity that we stayed for one night as we had to rush back to Xi’an. Wished we had stayed longer! Definitely recommended place to stay in Luoyang

NNicDThis is a very nice hotel which is great value for money. The location is great, just around the corner from a large mall (Wangfujing) and lots of restaurants nearby. I especially recommend the little place with 'Chinese Hamburger' on the sign on the road behind the hotel building - they have an English menu and do great roujiamo - they even have a vegetarian 'sujiamo'! We got an upgrade on check in and the room was spacious and comfortable. The cleaners and reception staff were generally polite and helpful. The breakfast was Chinese but was fresh, different every day, and any food that ran out at busy times was always quickly replenished. The free laundry was very convenient and the machines were easy to use. We did have two issues which made staying there a bit inconvenient though. The first was that when the underground car park was full cars could no longer get past the barrier, meaning they couldn't drive up to reception. This was a problem since the road outside was flooded and meant that we had to load and unload suitcases while standing in deep puddles in the pouring rain. The second issue was the keycards: every day we would come back to our room and the keycard wouldn't work. We complained at reception every single day about this issue but it was never resolved.

So beautiful and spacious rooms with separate bathroom and toilet. Way beyond our expectations. Nice bath tub, shower room, projector TV, coffee machine with complimentary cookies and fruits and complimentary drinks in mini-bar. Robot delivering bottled water when requested. Absolutely love the hotel and wish we stayed longer. We will book this hotel again if we visit Luoyang.
Chinese Restaurant had tremendous value. Delicious 9 course dinner including steam fish and lobster, taste really good. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant on both nights. The first night we were thoroughly impressed with the private dining room with ensuite toilet.
Breakfast with good international selection of Chinese and Western options.
Definitely the best hotel of our 2 weeks stay in China. Now we have a great impression of Luoyang because of the hotel.
Only feedback is that it will be good if the toilet and bathroom lights can be separate so that at night when sleeping, guests can just switch on the toilet light and leave the rest of the room dark. Current dim light switch leaves bathroom still quite bright and glaring when sleeping. Other than this minor point, this hotel really wonderful and definitely a great hotel to stay in Luoyang!

It had heating/cooling in each room that we could adjust ourselves. Beds were comfortable and the duvets were nice and thick. Only drawback was that it had no mini fridge. And there is no elevator so you do need to climb up some flights of stairs. I communicated with the manager by WeChat translation. There was always someone waiting for us when we got back which was so reassuring for a homestay - they made sure we were safe and even checked on our payment for our ride.
Location was down an alleyway right across from Yongtianmen - it was a bit of a walk from the metro station and too narrow for vehicle access. Instead we found it so convenient to use the 3 wheeled tuk tuks which could send us up to the doorstep. Cost was between 10-20 CNY. The street was lined with hanfu shops and many little convenience stores where we could buy snacks and the cold drinks we wanted. Strangely we could not get cold beer! They said it was not the season yet for col
Overall we had a great stay! It was a chance to experience living in a local community which was different from the usual hotel experience.

The resort is beautiful and secluded, away from all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Luoyang while remaining accessible. The location is very convenient to the high speed rail station, Longmen Grottoes, Guang Lin Temple and Peony Museum. It’s a bit further away to get to White Horse Temple, Lintang Gate and Luoyi Ancient City. However, the hotel offers a very convenient and comfortable private shuttle for train/airport transfer and a daily trips to or from town.
Above all, I have to commend the team at this hotel for their excellent service and extremely friendly attitude. Everyone went out of their way to offer assistance for any of our needs and always with a smile. A huge bonus - they offered a complementary same-day laundry service which we used several times during our stay taking care of a major hassle on extended travels. From the reception, front desk, porters, drivers and housekeepers, we received top notch service rivalling hotels we’ve stayed at worldwide.
The breakfast also deserves special mention. The selection was not as extensive as buffets at some major hotels but the quality was excellent and we found it to be more than enough to start each day before sightseeing. In addition to a small self serve area, you can order large bowls soup or noodles and they also provide a beautiful tray of delicacies. We very much enjoyed each day’s breakfast.
Finally, the room we stayed in, with a private hot spring tub and private patio was spacious, clean, modern and beautiful. We enjoyed use the tub after full days of sightseeing to ease aching muscles and the bed was very comfortable. On our final night, we did experience a problem with a light switch not turn lights but the staff were quick to provide us another room so we could get to sleep. Another great example of their dedication to quality service.
Overall, I was very pleased to have discovered this beautiful gem in Luoyang and it made our visit to this wonderful city that much more special and memorable.

JJosh_mnWe had a great experience staying in the room type with two large beds and one bunker bed. We booked this room kinda expecting the bunker bed to excite our 4 and 7 yo and it definitely proved so. Room is clean, AC is great. The breakfast (made free with a trip.com promotion) is quite a treat. Even some might prefer hot coffee but honestly I cannot complain much with the offer of a hard boiled egg, two potstickers, one pcs of corn, millet congee, etc. The staffs are all responsive and ready to help with request like additional towels/bottled water/breakfast food. The owners had a friendly puppy called “fanfan”on site too. At the end of our trip one of the co-owners used his motorcycles to carry a heavy suitcase to the place we booked our taxi and as we can see they ride people to metro station as well. The location is just a short (maybe 100m) walk from the South Gate of Luoyi Ancient City. We took a night walking into Luoyi Ancient City from the north gate after eating dinner in one of the busiest places known for its street food and getting out of South Gate knowing the hotel is just minutes away. Would definitely recommend this one to others who want to stay near Luoyi Ancient City area.
