"While the location is far from the city center, the beaches nearby are quite pleasant. There are many bus stops and it is cheap to move around. The room was clean and well kept and the breakfast service was varied. We enjoyed the pool and the gym. The staff was always friendly and kind."

"We only spent a single night at this hotel and mainly booked it for its good location. It turned out to be a really nice hotel though, very clean, with a nice bathroom, AC, everything you need. The room itself did not have a window - well, at least not a window leading to the outside. There was a window leading to some empty room between the hotel room and the hallway, which was nice though as they put a flower pot in there. People at the reception were really friendly as well. All in all a good choice."

Blackout curtains, a slick Bluetooth speaker, and a well-stocked minibar made the stay extra comfortable. It’s clear they didn’t cut corners on in-room amenities. 3. Front-Desk service — Cici ! Shoutout to Cici at reception—what a gem! She was not only polite and efficient but went above and beyond to make sure my room preferences were met pronto. Now that’s what I call five-star service! 4. Anna’s Next-Level Attentiveness Big thanks to Anna from housekeeping. She promptly brought up bottled water, and when she realized I needed a disposable tub bag for the bath, she dashed back to fetch one. Now that’s going the extra mile! ⚠️ THE OOPS MOMENT: · Bathroom Blunder Alright, here’s the not-so-great part: the bathtub had a looong strand of hair (clearly from the previous guest). Yeah, not the end of the world, but for a hotel of this caliber? That’s a basic miss. 🎯 FINAL VERDICT: Stunning room, killer views, and staff like Cici and Anna who truly get hospitality right. But Marriott—y’all gotta tighten up the cleaning checks. If you do, this place would be nothing short of perfection. Still, would I recommend it? For that epic ocean view and standout service? Absolutely. Just maybe give the tub a quick rinse first."

"THE SMART ROOM was marvellous. Clean and spacious and of course smart. Breakfast was little disappointing as once 930am most food finished and the replenishment was slow despite breakfast only ends at 1030am Other than that the hotel us good place to relax. The surrounding despite beautiful with nice building but was rather quiet and like dead town. I would rather enjoy and relax in the hotel."

"This is an absolute gem among all the hotels I've stayed in over 15 years of traveling across 40 countries. The design of the rooms, corridors, and common areas is stunning and truly unique. There’s an arcade machine in the room with Nintendo games from my childhood… It feels like the hotel owner's personal signature style - and it's the most amazing highlight of this place! A special afternoon tea with fantastic cookies is a wonderful service. Breakfast is usually a buffet, as far as I understand, but on the day of my stay, there was no buffet, and breakfast was served individually for each guest. Still, it was very good and filling. The location is excellent - right next to the bus station. That means you can check in immediately after arriving from the airport by airport bus, or leave your luggage if you arrive early. Getting anywhere in the city is also easy, quick and cheap by local buses. The room was very comfortable: quiet and very warm (I stayed during the cold season), exceptionally clean, with a great bathroom, and everything was in perfect condition. The bed was very comfortable with amazingly soft pillows worthy of a high-end hotel - and they even provide several pillows with different levels of softness! The staff's attitude toward guests is excellent: I'm a light sleeper, and quietness is important to me, but in Asia this is often a problem even in expensive hotels. So when booking, I requested a quiet room on a high floor and away from the elevator - and my wishes were fulfilled perfectly. And for all of this, the price is simply incredible. This hotel is worth traveling to Yantai just to stay here! Overall, it's a masterpiece. The only places I've seen that are better are classic five-star hotels, but even they don't have such outstanding interior design and arcade machines. 😊 And if you were born in the 1980s, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel to play the games of your childhood on a real arcade machine right in your room. 😊"

"we had booked here an good SUITE and it was clean and nice, but we had some issues from not working items we did need in the rooms, anyway , we had also to bring all our luggage ourselves to the suite, and thats quite unusual when you book an suite , we think, ALSO NO English or american TV , onlz chinese tv stations we are many times an year in YanTai but if we would book here an suite again... even that they have an good swimmingpool"

"Hotel from entrance, design, calmness, view that close to the beach and the staff are amazing, usually in china not alot of people speaks english but they are trying their best, the guy who did check in for us made a very nice birthday set up arrangement with his team, and Olivia a lady in reception she was super fantastic, she helped us a lot as she speaks very well english, she was our life saver, and she did check out also for us and she was super kind and gave us little gift ❤️, thank you everyone in Indigo, we had an amazing stay with you"
