"Overall a positive experience here at the Highland hotel. The foyer feels very luxury and the building definitely feels it has some age too it. This does come with the downside of a smell of oldness but its not a bad smell and not noticeable for long. Rooms are clean as was the bathroom, had all the essentials you need, plenty of plugs and the room itself was large and roomy. Others have complained about it being cold but we found the heating to be fine and the beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and for only £56 it was a great value stay. Recommend 👍"

"A good stay at this Nairn hotel. It was further from Inverness than we expected but that was no big problem as Nairn is such a nice little town to explore so the hotel ended up being perfect. Clean, good service and with a welcoming smile from a great reception desk. It is a bit creaky but once everyone had settled down I had a decent sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you."

"Service throughout our stay was freindly and Prompt, breakfast was very sizable with plenty options and was all quite fresh tasting. Rooms were clean and had all we needed in them, tv was showing it age and there was a strange smell in the corridor and into the door but that was the only faults we had. Very enjoyable and well recommended. Added point Young man at the desk for morning and when we checked in went above and beyond during our stay."

"The compact room I stayed in was lovely. Comfortable, clean and warm. The staff is attentive and informative. The location is outstanding as everything is within a walking distance. The hotel is surrounded by coffee shops, bars, restaurants and grocery shops. Next year I would definitely stay here again."

"We were supposed to stay a night on the 3rd, however due to total disaster with the snow (police closing roads, snow gates shut, buses not running, train cancelled last minute) we were unable to travel and had to cancel the onwards travel plans. We explained the situation providing evidence that it was not possible for us to get anywhere and kindly asked if possible to amend to another date, but were refused.
Stayed in the hotel before, not a bad place, but very disappointed that they had not been more understanding of our already disrupted start of the 2026."

"Good hotel but, for their regular double room, over priced. The Glen Mhor is basically a collection of former B&B establishments which have been taken over and redeveloped. This means that the majority of rooms are in neighbouring buildings so a bit of a walk is involved! I have stayed here before and each time found myself in a small double room. They are clean, well decorated and fine for an overnight stay. On the downside, they tend to be so small that there is no room for a chair or workspace. This time around we opted for the breakfast package. The restaurant was right at the opposite end of the complex but the walk along to it was pleasant. The breakfast itself was excellent. Staff were incredibly attentive and the range of food on offer was very good.
Would I stay again? That would depend on the package on offer. I wouldn't opt for a 'room only' given the small size - there are plenty Premier Inns around which, to be fair, are of an equal, if not higher standard to the standard double rooms at Glen Mhor. Location is excellent for the city centre and depending when you travel, there is plenty parking available. "

"We had a fantastic stay at Kingsmill Hotel. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the golf course which was beautiful. The bathroom was cleaned perfectly with no dust or mould. The kingside bed was huge and very comfortable. We would stay again."

"The room is spacious and clean. The only hiccup was that, at first, we got a room with a double bed despite booking a family room on Trip.com. When I asked the reception staff, she said there was no family room per se in the building, and in the booking that they had, it didn't say that I wanted a family room or how many people would be sleeping in the room. For them, a family room is a room with a double bed and an extra bed. The staff managed to change our room to one with an extra bed ready, so it wasn't a problem."

MMisafir KullanıcıFirst let me say that the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. It pains me that to even write this but I thought fellow travelers should hear my experience. First, there are two aye stays in Inverness. My gps took me to the wrong one first. That was awkward. After I finally figured it out, the place was very cutely decorated with Scottish and Loch Ness decor. Contactless check in was easy however a board with everyone’s name and room numbers does not feel super safe for me a solo female traveler. But over all easy enough. Next I stayed in room 7 which is up a flight of stairs so make sure you pack light! (Which you should do anyway in Scotland.) My room had just been renovated with new carpet but it smelled like off gassing and I had to open the window (which was broken) there was a radiator for heat which I had no idea how to use. So it got a little chilly. Now here comes the problems: the rooms are very close together and the walls are paper thin. I was kept up until 3 in the morning hearing conversations and snoring. We were only given the choice of receiving breakfast between 7:30-8:30 in the dining room. So I woke up earlier than I would have liked to eat breakfast. Which was just okay. Nothing too outstanding to write about but again the hostess was very sweet. Overall I could see that they’re trying their best. But I would recommend sound machines in each of the rooms or something so people can have a good nights sleep. The location was pretty good and just over the bridge from the high street.

AAmyLeeDerksExcellent hostel! Great common self-catering facilities; there were two full kitchens with plenty of tables and seating so multiple parties could be cooking at a time. Staff were very helpful and let me leave my bag before check-in and after check-out to accommodate my bus times.
The room (4-bunk female dorm) was very spacious so plenty of room for sorting through my bags. Bunk was large and included a USB plug and power outlet there. Room had large attached shower and toilet rooms.

2205528****在高地的行程中選擇了尼斯湖附近的酒店，入住時下着毛毛細雨天色漸暗，司機按照導航差點開到了隔壁民居，看似也不是第一次碰到，友情地告訴我們去酒店的方向。在黑暗的小道上很快看到燈光，英式鄉村別墅映入眼簾，酒店前台不大，前廳的壁爐的火燒得通紅，暖暖的一掃陰霾。房間是主樓邊單獨的一幢農舍，踏着沙沙的石子小路，打開房門，燈火通明房間温度也是暖暖的，好似回到家裡。
清晨推開門，清新空氣撲面而來，晨曦霞光萬道，看着遠處翠綠的山，一切都是靜謐的。早餐一定是英式風格，單點一份現做的英式鄉村全餐或者班尼迪克都是不錯的選擇。不夠可以再來點自助的餐點。或羊角麪包或芝士或水果。衹是遊客總是那麼的匆忙，吃完早餐又在路上了～

The hotel toilets were in need of an attendant checking regularly .
We ended up laughing about it with references to faulty towers.
However our room was beautiful, clean, well presented, the bed was very comfortable. We had a great night sleep.
At breckfast the arm of my chair was loose and lifted up when I would go to move my chair in/out from the table. When I was looking around the continental breckfast counter I could hear a male member of the kitchen staff shouting and swearing using the F word, not at all what I expected from any Hotel.
Lasting impression I would not rush back.

LLishBWe arrived later afternoon Andy received us with biscuits what a warm welcome. It has a homely feel with old school locking key, had a fish supper which compliments to the chef Peter was fabulous, great dinner atmosphere with other guests at restaurant and bar/lounge.
Spacious clean room, quality linen and warm enough one minus next door guy snored through our walls (not hotel's fault).
The hot breakfast was served to order which is fab as it gets to you hot and fresh also avoiding waste and dry dull food. So keep it up guys. And keep getting everyone up early enough.

MMisafir KullanıcıThis cabin was absolutely beautiful and in a gorgeous location. For some reason we never received communication with the code to get into lockbox- but once we called and were able to talk to owner, it went fine. Wish we could have stayed longer , it was so very nice
