"i stayed here in January, and while I initially visited hoping for heavy snow and cold weather, the weather in Sokcho turned out to be surprisingly beautiful and mild!
The location of this hotel is its biggest selling point. It is very conveniently situated nearby the Emart and Bus Terminal, making arrivals and departures seamless. Most importantly for me, it is only a 10-min walk to the beach, which made it incredibly easy to head out and catch the sunrise over the East Sea every morning.
The facilities are clearly quite new. Everything was impeccably clean and felt modern, which made the stay very comfortable.
Overall, a fantastic stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again for its convenience and cleanliness!"

"Nice hotel well situated by the night market, Abai Village and Rodeo Drive. Easy to walk around and explore. The rooms was well kept with no issues. Only downside was lack of parking. They will try to accommodate you so you won't be stuck, but was inconvenient."

"Great location with many seafood restaurants nearby and also a couple of nice cafes to chill with a good view. It’s better to take a taxi when coming from the bus terminal with luggages. There are buses that take to the downtown area as well.
Room is clean and convenient with its amenities plus there is a washer and dryer in the room. Check in was easy with instructions although there is a need to follow the 4pm check in time and 11am check out time. No daily housekeeping unless stay is 3 nights or more.
Overall it was a great stay! Well-recommended."

"Located in an excellent place in the mountains. Excellent place when escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. Close to the tourist attractions, Seoraksan National Park and other places are a short bus ride away. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom could be cleaner in terms of the sinks and forceps. The staff is very nice. They don’t clean your room without your permission. Also free water, ramen, drinks and few mini toiletries. I’d definitely stay there again when I visit Sokcho again."

MMisafir KullanıcıBest Western Sokcho was located in the perfect spot for Seoraksan Treks and also to the city centre where the Central market was. The Express Bus Terminal (not intercity bus terminal, do check with your driver) only 5mins away to Seoul, bus stop to 7 or 7-1 is 3mins away. eMart was 5mins away and Daiso was 10mins walk from the hotel. Amazing offer from Trip.com if booking made in advance. We were travelling in a group of 4 and booked two Ocean view deluxe twin rooms. Beds were Ace bed, slept very comfortably for the 3 nights stay. There is a coin self laundry service at basement. Ocean view was blocked halfly but good enough to see sun rise from the beach which is only 10mins walk away. There are many good eateries around the hotel as well as near the beach, the lake and at the Central Market. One incident made the stay unpleasant though, we bought the famous Manseok chicken from the Central Market for a beer and chicken night after climbing the peak of Seoraksan Daecheongbong for 12 hours, the cleaning staff threw away our food (a box with full chicken inside) without asking. The reception staff reaction was disappointing as they didn't seem care. In the end, they offered to re-order a random chicken for us but we refused to take it as the mood was totally ruined. I have to say there was not much service per se at Best Western Sokcho as it is more like a service apartment but the hotel room quality, the location and price were fantastic. I will recommend anyone who like trekking Seoraksan and exploring around Sokcho to stay there but do not expect for hotel service.

When we got there , there was no staff on the Reception desk as the hotel operates a non face to face check in . This is fine but we do not speak or read Korean and we were unsure what we had to do . Eventually after two hours we managed to check in using Kakeo talk . Very frustrating to have wasted that time . It was also confusing because our room was not actually in the hotel but next door in the hotel across the road .
The room it self was brilliant . Very clean and spacious Lovely bathroom with enclosed shower . Tv , fridge and washing machine .
The hotel was across the road from the beach so that was brilliant . It seemed a long way from the main part of the beach and any restaurants where we could eat ..

Very convenient location. The local bus to the national park is right across the street from the hotel, and the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the express bus terminal.
I was pleasantly surprised by a washing machine in the room, which was great to clean my muddy clothes after my hike (you'll need your own laundry detergent).
The room had a kitchenette with sink, hot plate, and full-size refrigerator and freezer. The only problem is there was no pot or pan to use on the hot plate, so I could not actually use it to warm my food (unless I would travel with my own pot)!
It would be nice if the room provided a hair dryer and if the hotel had some breakfast option. The cafe downstairs offers only drinks, not food, and doesn't open until 11 a.m.
The entryway light is motion activated, and there are many electronic buttons and panels around the room that emit light, so if you are sensitive to light while sleeping, you will have to cover your eyes with a sleep mask.
Also note that it you close the sliding door between the bed and living area while the air conditioning is on, it will prevent the cold air from reaching the part of the room where the thermostat is located, so the air conditioner will remain on indefinitely, and the sleeping area will get very cold.
The various panels for lights and temperature were a bit difficult to understand. English labels would be helpful. But the receptionist was helpful and came up to my room to show me how to use the air conditioning. The USB port on the nightstand worked some of the time and sometimes it didn't. I couldn't figure out if there was a switch or setting somewhere in the room to make it work, or if it was just malfunctioning.

MMisafir KullanıcıWe stayed 2 nights, and the owners were really kind and friendly and invited us to sing and play Korean songs along with them and other families in the stage they have in the basement. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my whole trip in South Korea.
The room and water were warm and well suited for the winter. They upgraded our room for free and there was so much space with sink, fridge, sofa and table included. The breakfast every morning is delicious and filling, preparing you well for a day of walking in the mountains. 설악산 was beautiful coated in the white snow. The location of the hotel is great too, as there is a frequent bus that takes you to the park in no time, as well as to the city when you first come or when you leave the last day.
I hope I can come back again to visit the park during different seasons, and I will definitely would like to stay in this hotel again.

They could use a water dispenser for guests to fill their water jugs. There was a bit of street noise since the windows were not double but only single. The room was not cleaned the entire 4 day stay but water and fresh towels were hung on the doorknob each day. Overall it was a clean, comfortable room with either a great mountain view or a sea view. The price was also very good.

일단 일반 아파트인데 이런 숙박목적으로 분양 받아쓰는 세대가 대다수 인가봄. 숙박하는 고객이 엄청 많음.
처음 도착해서 들은 말은 주차 차량 만차니 짐을 내리고 돌아나오면 다른 주차장을 알려준다고 함. 객실이 23층이고 차가 계속 오가는데 뭔 짐을 어디다 어떻게 내리라는거임? 지하1층부터 5층까지 6개층이 주차장인데 만차라니. 주차하는데만 20분 넘게 씀.
두번째 엘베 전쟁임. ”숙박업소”로 쓰는 고층 건물이다보니 사람도 엄청난데 심지어 6층이 무슨 행사장인가봄. 돌잔치를 하는지 가족행사를 하는지 여튼 뻑하면 6층에 섬. 엘베가 4대인데 사람들이 훨 많으니 과부하. 객실 올라가는데만 10분 넘게 씀. 외출 갔다오는데도 똑같음. 밤 10시였는데 사람이 왜케 많은지.
주차와 엘베가 너무×1000000 스트레스여서 여행 오자마자 기빨리고 힘들었음. 표정 다 굳음.
지하1층이 정문 출입구인데 전자렌지를 두어 냄새나고 청결하지 않음.
객실 컨디션은 당연 오피스텔이라 깨끗하고 잘돼있어 좋았음. 근데 IPTV는 되는데 일반 정규방송은 안되는 듯.
화장실이 굉~~~~장히 좁음. 근데 배수가 심하게 안됨. 숙소와서 배수구들어 청소해보긴 처음임. 네임밸류 있는 아파트가 굉장히 허접쓰.
드라이기 쓰다가 갑자기 꺼짐. 대기전력 콘센트로 꽂았나 싶었는데 아니었음.
침구류는 좋은 향나고 깨끗했음.
모르면 몰랐지 재방문의사 절대 없음.
