"WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Despite a very good start which involved a very helpful early check-in for our group of four travelers (two rooms) and lots of friendly smiles from the hotel reception team, unfortunately our stay took a bit of a negative turn owing to some confusion over two additional bookings we had made to extend our stay following a change in our plans. I really find it hard to understand why this simple process caused confusion to the duty manager. The following day, despite clearly explaining that we had made additional bookings to extend our stay, the desk staff were confused and claimed that one of the room bookings was not confirmed. The duty manager was dismissive to us and actually ignored us, (even though he had perfectly good English to communicate with us), preferring to speak through another member of the reception team who was standing right next to him. After a wait of at least 15 minutes, I told him that we were not prepared to wait any longer and that he could let us know once the issue had been resolved. This was clearly an administrative problem between the hotel and Trip.com which soured our stay. The duty manager was unprofessional and discourteous towards his guests. Our experience left us unwilling to use any of the hotel facilities other than the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff team exceptional in their service and friendliness. We did use the lounge bar on one occasion and again, found the staff to be friendly and helpful - special mention to Jerushan, with whom we enjoyed a great conversation. He is a credit to the staff team. Perhaps given his people skills, he should be made a manager?! Other than the reception area, the hotel is very tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. In our room, a light switch cover fell off, some bulbs were not working and the room was dirty - a build up of dust in the corners and on the wardrobe louvres which quite obviously suggested the rooms were only being given a superficial clean. As said, we do not recommend this hotel and we will not stay here again. We expect far from a Ramada branded establishment."

Resepsiyona check in icin gittigimde 45 dk beklemem gerektigini, odamin temizlendigibi soylediler. Uzun yoldan geldigimi; check in yapacagim saati onceden bildirdigimi soyleyince daha yetkili biri gelerek hizlica odamizi ayarladi. Havalimanina gitmek icin shuttle sordugumuzda 18 dolar fiyat verdiler; bu fiyata guneyden colomboya geldigimizi 40 dakikalik yol icin cok fazla istediklerini soyledik ancak bu konuda bir degisiklik olmadi uber kullanarai havalimanina yaridan az bir fiyata gittik. Odaya adisyon acilmiyor; barda yedigin her seyi o an oduyorsun ki bu okeydir olabilir. Sabah 7 de uyanan insanlar icin bu kadar luks bir otelde espresso ya da bir takim kahve cesitlerinin daha ulasilabilir olmasi lazim. Ama maalesef kahve saglayamiyorlar. Makine bozuk dediler bana. Onun disinda odalar harika; kuvetler deniz manzarasi vs temizlik ozellikle tuvalet harika. Servisten bir sey beklemeyin; bir iki gun kalirsaniz uzulmezsiniz ama 3 gunden fazlasi uzebilir."

"Everything was good. The only thing to mention is the restaurant service: is a bit slow, with mistakes in orders. In the main restaurant the wait staff is not clearing the tables efficiently. Will be perfect with a little attention to details."

"I recently stayed at The Kingsbury Colombo from April 2 to April 8, 2025, and I must say — every moment of my 7-day, 6-night stay was nothing short of exceptional. As a local living overseas, I was truly impressed by the world-class hospitality I experienced here. One unforgettable highlight was the in-room dining experience. I ordered the black pork curry with pol roti — and it was simply divine! Without exaggeration, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, full of authentic Sri Lankan flavor and prepared to perfection. Overall, The Kingsbury Colombo exceeded all my expectations. The hotel is super clean, secure, and the staff make a genuine effort to create an exceptional experience for every guest. "Odanın göl ve Lotus Kulesi'ne güzel bir manzarası vardı. Açık büfe kahvaltıda çok çeşitli seçenekler mevcuttu. Spor salonu ekipmanlarının çeşitliliği ve temizliği iyiydi. Müşteri hizmetleri soğuktu, kahvaltı ve havaalanı karşılama ücretinin hizmet alındıktan sonra ödenmesi gerekiyordu, ancak iyileştirmeye açık noktalar var."

"Enjoyed the hotel customer staff service by a senior Mr Samantha who helped to checkin. Breakfast was good as usual and waitress are attentive. Also Ms Watsathi - housekeeping supervisor making sure the junior staff did a good job on cleanliness. For lagoon seafood restaurant, waiter failed on best hygiene practice on fresh oyster - fallen shaved ice been placed back to bowl . Hope it will never happened again. Both manager and supervisor came apologize and told that will remind waiter’s hygiene importance. They offer complimentary dessert & replacement oyster- declined politely and paid my bill in full. Great to be back to this hotel as always for years. From the helpful bell man to hotel restaurants. Hotel is beside a small mall , to get tea fr Dilmah or at Supermarket or get medicure nails done etc. Did my morning walk to Galle too. Thank you for good memories."

"Staff at the reception was very friendly and nice. Even though there were a lot of people, we got our room quite fast. One of the guys helped us to bring our luggage to the room. They welcomed us with drinks and there were fruits in the room. The bathroom was clean, the bed very comfortable, we had a good rest. There is a railway station near the hotel and it’s close to the sea and some popular tourist destinations. The breakfast was amazing!!!!! So much food! Everything was very very very delicious, I ate the best Christmas stollen there! Be careful if you eat outside, the bird stole our leftovers😄 Overall, we enjoyed our stay, thank a lot!"
