"The hotel is a standard Travelodge clean but basic in other words exactly what was booked. There was a booking error on my part and Lucia the receptionist dealt with it quickly and efficiently and with a smile glad she could rectify the situation. She most definitely deserves the 5 stars given. Working away most of the time I see a lot of hotels and staff, Lucia’s positive, friendly and helpful attitude is certainly very refreshing"

"A wonderful Spa hotel with super friendly, helpful and happy staff. The gym was great and I downloaded the Life Fitness App so I could log in and keep a note of the equipment and reps I used etc. The pool was lovely and I used the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The room (Queen) was so comfortable and spacious with so many drawers and lots of hangers in the wardrobe. Very large dressing table with mirror!! Bathroom was spacious as well. Food was very good indeed. We all enjoyed eating there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The 3 of us would highly recommend this hotel. We shall return and next time I will probably get a few treatments in the beauty salon."

Service on the day by reception staff was poor. Not very helpful. Definitely prefer premier Inn would not use Travel Lodge again"

The property is located in pretty, quiet riverside location and was a perfect base for exploring the area on foot and a short drive from some wonderful historic sites."

"Within walking distance to City Center, Train Station and stage coach station. The rooms are clean, with basic toiletries and coffee/tea supplied and replished as needed. Plenty of hot water with good water pressure. The 2 Chairs provided was useful; there is hot water kettle. The counter is large enough for use as a work station desk and doubled as a table for takeway meals. The common areas are very well maintained. Very good value for price paid. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Thank you Lucia. The hotel is off a main street, so there is some noise level in street facing rooms, but not sufficent to dusburb me rest. Reception is always manned and access to rooms is via key card, adding an extra sense of safety."

"We had 2 nights here in a clean family room with 2 pull out beds which was fine. It was generally quiet and overlooked a field. Unfortunately the shower hose was so short you couldn't stand up underneath it. When I queried this with Reception I was told the whole hotel was like it and that these had recently been installed. We travelled with my daughter who is currently in a 2 legged cast and therefore used the Disabled parking space right outside which was convenient. Unfortunately both mornings the maintenance van parked on the yellow hatched area (fire assembly point too) which blocked access to the ramp up to the hotel and also prevented us opening her door wide enough to get in which is the reason we have a Blue Badge. Again we did mention this to reception and just got advised it was also a problem for someone else the day before."
