"Much better than expected. Although the room is not big, it is exquisite and pleasant. Afternoon tea and breakfast are also provided. The fruit is super sweet. There is G7 coffee, which I like, and hanging ear coffee is also given. Will stay here again if I come back."
Pingxiang Yutian Hotel ★★
"In short: disgusting rooms in a decrepit building, helpless staff. Long version: arrived after a long rainy day very tired. The room we were given (512) had the window open during the whole day of heavy rain so everything was wet, aside of that the window didn't close properly anyway. The bedding felt damp and the chair underneath the window was soaked. We asked for another room and were given the key to 412, same story there, water on the floor and everything wet because the window was left open during the rain. Asked again for a change of rooms and were told, we could cancel and book another room. Only when we said that if we cancelled, we would go elsewhere, we were given another room. The girl at reception explained via translator-app with a lot of faffing about how this was a free upgrade from the special priced room we had booked to a much better room (got 510). I'm not sure what was upgraded, maybe the mold levels or the size of cockroaches in the room? Or maybe the amount of piss stains on the toilet. Probably a combination of all that. Aside of that the room was maybe 5 square meters larger, that's all. At least the bed was dry and by now the free cancellation time frame was over. We stayed just because we desperately needed to sleep. The toilet in the room wasn't cleaned at all, neither was the bathroom, the windows were broken and even after the rain there was water dripping from the ceiling in two places, luckily not close to the bed. The room had two hairdryers, both of them are broken, just like most other installations in the room. We're backpackers and normally really not too worried about the quality of rooms if it's just for one night, but this place is with a distance the worst we stayed at in the whole of Asia. Funny thing is, when we checked out the next day the doors on the other side of the hallway were open and the rooms there looked freshly renovated. They were the same size and amenities, so they could have just as well put us into one of those instead of the mold farm they bunked us up on. Exceptionally poor service. Never again."

"The price difference between booking on Ctrip and booking in person at the hotel is 80 yuan higher, which is unacceptable to me. The hotel's overall environment is okay, and the location is also good, right next to a food street. However, around 7 pm, I started hearing various noises from the restaurants upstairs."

"The Astor Hotel is strategically located and surrounded by many delicious foods. There is a food street and a Vietnamese specialty street behind the hotel. The hotel is not far from the Youyiguan Scenic Area. It is very convenient to travel. However, the parking lot is a bit small and I arrived late. If so, you have to find a parking space nearby, and the parking fee will be reimbursed back to the hotel."

"This hotel is amazing! The rooms were clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors, making for a worry-free stay. The facilities were complete and easy to use, the bedding was comfortable, and the hot water was reliable. The service was warm and attentive, and check-in was efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with a variety of options including noodles, porridge, and pastries. The location is superb, right next to the bus station and close to a food street, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. It's great value for money and highly recommended!"
Yuejian Qingwu Hotel (Pingxiang Bus Terminal Food Street) ★★
"The walls were cracked, the floor was dirty, and the elevator only went to the 6th floor; to get to the 7th floor, you had to climb stairs. I was the first to book a room and was assigned to the 7th floor; the owner wouldn't change it, saying it was selected by the platform. Please be aware of this when checking in. Another important point is that the bathroom is less than 2 square meters—too small. I bumped my arm on the door handle and it hurt. I requested a 2-hour extension, which the owner agreed to."
