"I travelled around Indonesia for more than 20 days and only stayed at this hotel for two nights. Unfortunately, I have to say that it was the worst experiences of my trip. I usually give ratings above 6/10, but for this hotel I can only give 2/10. The only reason I am giving 2 points is because the parking staff and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Here are the issues, ranked from minor to major: 1. The flooring was swollen due to moisture and humidity. This is unhygienic and raises concerns about cleanliness and bacteria. 2. The table in the room was almost broken. Even placing a hand on it caused it to sag noticeably. 3. The taps were covered in heavy limescale and dirt. There were also obvious water stains all over the sink area. 4. The food cutlery hygiene was poor and did not meet basic standards. 5. There were blood stains on the bed sheets. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel. 6. The most unacceptable issue was the attitude and lack of support from the reception staff. During our stay, it was raining heavily and my friend's hair was completely soaked. We urgently needed a hairdryer, so we went to the reception desk to borrow one. A young male receptionist told us that all the hairdryers had been borrowed. His attitude was rude from the beginning. He barely looked at us properly and spoke in a dismissive manner. When I explained that we genuinely needed one, his response was simply, "Come back tomorrow." The next day, my friend became ill, developed a high fever and was unable to get out of bed. I returned to reception for help and unfortunately the same receptionist was on duty. Once again, he showed the same arrogant attitude. When I asked whether the hotel had any medicine available, he simply replied that they had none and told me to order something online myself. As a foreign traveller, I did not know what medication to buy, yet he offered absolutely no guidance, assistance or sympathy. Throughout the entire interaction, he never once apologised. What shocked me even more was that while I briefly turned away to look for a nearby pharmacy, I could hear him laughing with his colleague about my friend's illness. I sincerely hope I misunderstood the situation, but that was how it appeared to us. The reception staff provided less help than complete strangers on the street. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels, but I have never experienced such poor customer service and lack of basic human compassion. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone"

"Very nice staff, they sent a driver to pick me up from the bus station and arranged the tour to Bromo for 600K. Restaurant on the ground floor. The room was big, very clean and comfy. I would have stayed longer if I wanted to see more places in the area."

"I had an awful experience at this hotel. Cockroaches and bed bugs ruined my stay and I left after 1 night. No refund for my early departure was disappointing but expected. I wouldn’t stay there if they paid me ! Lack of investment is the problem it’s old and dirty."

"Remember that this hotel is called Bromo Park Hotel, it is not located near Bromo Volcano Park, but 45km away, it takes an hour and a half to drive. If you live here to watch the sunrise, you have to get up at 1 o'clock, if you live near the real Bromo Volcano you can get up at 3 o'clock. There are many nice boutique hotels and single-family villas there. There is a coffee shop and a restaurant around the hotel, nothing else"

"A cozy oasis with a warm atmosphere! We planned to stay just one night, but ended up staying two – we loved it so much! Pros: Grounds: Very bright, well-kept, and green. There's a fish pond, and friendly cats roam the grounds. A true haven of peace. Room: Clean, with a comfortable bed. Excellent hot water with strong pressure. Meals: Breakfast is a standard set (omelet, rice, toast, fruit, and a drink). Tasty and ample. The hotel restaurant offers affordable lunch and dinner (main courses are 25,000-30,000 rupees). Location: This is a convenient base for visiting Mount Bromo. Reception can help you book a tour, but you can also make your own, which will be cheaper. Tips for traveling to Bromo (independently): By bus: Green buses depart from the bus station to the village of Cemoro Lawang (in the Tengger Caldera). Price: 35,000-60,000 rupees per person. By taxi: The trip will cost approximately 200,000 rupees. On site: Entrance to the caldera costs 35,000 rupees. There are many hotels (from 200,000 rupees per night) and shops. Important: It's very cold in the mountains, so bring warm jackets and hats! The views are incredible. Summary: Excellent value for money. A wonderful place to relax before the trip. We left for Jakarta with the most pleasant impressions. Highly recommended!"
