"The hotel is ideally located right in the heart of Rennes' old town, perfect for exploring on foot. Parking is convenient, with a paid underground car park accessible 24/7. Just a heads-up: the market is held in Place des Lices every Saturday. After passing through a quiet inner courtyard (where you can also enjoy a drink), you'll reach the check-in desk. The welcome was perfectly professional, much like what you'd expect from a Mama Shelter hotel. The room is spacious and features modern decor. An umbrella is provided (which can certainly come in handy in Brittany!), but there are no facilities for coffee, tea, or hot beverages. There's a mini-fridge with two bottles of water and a safe. Please note that a €50 per day deposit is charged immediately and refunded within a few days after your departure."

"This was a wonderful place to stay. It was in the middle of the oldest area of Rennes, in a very old building in which the historic features were retained while adding a modern bathroom. The room was comfortable and pleasant, and the proprietors were beyond helpful. I had hurt my leg prior to my stay and the only issue for me was that there was no elevator. (An elevator would not have been possible without compromising the historic nature of the building). A nice breakfast included in the stay. Hotel was just steps from restaurants and shops. When I checked out, there was a foot race blocking the streets and the taxi to take me to the train station didn't come. The proprietor (proprietress?) took my big suitcase and walked with me to the metro which went right to the train station!!! "

"On a business trip to Rennes, I chose Appart’City for its proximity to the establishment where I was going. Arrival was easy, the reception is open until midnight on Sundays. The staff is welcoming, with a smile, and it’s pleasant. The room is generally clean, with a few flaws: poorly painted, lack of electrical outlets, curtains with flapping rails, and not very clean windows. I recommend using the parking lot, it’s very difficult to park nearby. The spaces are narrow despite everything… The big downside is the lack of civility of the people (doors slamming constantly, even after 11 p.m. and before 7 a.m.), and the work that was taking place in the establishment on the elevator that started early in the morning (at 8 a.m. it’s already banging…)"

"The location is excellent in the old city part, very close to my convention place with many restaurants nearby. The hotel building is old, with only one one-man elevator. The shower is very bad: a small tube just enough for one person standing. The water was small and the hot water was not hot enough. During my stay, the internet did not work. There were two nights with noisy party nearby until 2:00 am. The hotel is a 2.5 star than the 3-star hotel."

In saying that reasonably sized shower. Comfortable enough for an overnite stay. Continental buffet breakfast option adequate , very french. Comfortable enough beds. Would rate good as opposed to average."
