"Cleanliness: The cleanliness was appalling, just as the photos show. The floor was moldy, and every corner of the bathroom seemed to have been overlooked during cleaning. Truly a nightmare for anyone who cares about hygiene! I didn't even dare to look too closely, even with my glasses on. Service: The service was generally acceptable, but there was a major issue. On the last day, my room card stopped working. The check-out time was clearly stated as 4 PM, so I should have still had access. This really left a bad impression. I had to go all the way down to the front desk to reactivate it, and what made it worse was that I was in a rush to catch my high-speed train for check-out. Location: The location was just average. The main attractions it supposedly boasts across the street, like the museum and Dong Tiangong, are completely unremarkable – especially Dong Tiangong, which is definitely not worth visiting. This means it's not close to any genuinely important sights, although a taxi ride to the Wind and Rain Bridge or Sanjiang Drum Tower only costs about 7-8 yuan. As for dining, there are no options within 500m of the hotel. You need to walk at least 800m, taking a long detour, to reach a commercial street with food. There's a local market about 500m away and a small shop across the road, but other than that, the surroundings are quite deserted. Overall, for tourists, the location is genuinely inconvenient. Facilities: The facilities were mostly standard. The only real bonus was the bathtub; everything else was pretty average. The curtains weren't even motorized, so it definitely didn't feel very 'smart' or up-to-date. Overall, for a 300 yuan room rate in Sanjiang, it felt like all the effort and cost went into superficial decoration. The lobby and corridors were well-designed and attractive, but the actual rooms themselves completely lacked attention to detail or comfort, leading to a very poor guest experience."

"I forgot to comment before, but now Ctrip has sent a comment notification. I remembered that I had a reunion dinner and set off fireworks at Sanjiang Dongxiang State Guesthouse this year. I must give a good review 👍 I like Dongxiang State Guesthouse very much. Parking is convenient. The garden-style hotel is spacious and bright. Next to it is Fengyu Bridge. "We arrived at the hotel at 4 or 5 pm on the day of check-in, and there was no sound of renovation next to us. But the next morning at 7 or 8, the next door (right next to it) started to renovate, and I couldn't sleep at all. And the three skylights on the ceiling would start to shine directly into my eyes at 6 or 7 in the morning, and I couldn't rest at all because of the dazzle of the sun. Hygiene: The inside of the toothbrush cup in the bathroom was full of black and yellow scale and dust Service: The next day, I communicated with the housekeeper of the homestay and asked why they didn't tell me that the next door was being renovated when I checked in. The housekeeper meant "I can't do it". If you can't do this little thing, do you deserve this price? You knew that the next door was being renovated, but you didn't tell me in advance, but blamed the guests for not going to bed and getting up early? If you can't do this homestay well, don't do it, okay?"

"Perched on the mountaintop, our B&B offered a distinct change of scenery right from the multi-kilometer uphill drive, a world away from the city bustle. Our room involved quite a few steps down, but a staff member kindly helped us with our luggage, making two trips. He even politely refused a refreshing drink we offered him on that scorching hot day. The service was absolutely outstanding."

The homestay itself is lovely, it is just across the river from Sanjiang county town but was exquisitely peaceful, the rooms were very clean, there was 24/7 hot water, they even offered for me to eat dinner with them most nights. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling solo or anyone on a leisurely trip Attached is a photo of the nearby river valley they took me to and a waterfall that was about an hours drive and a 30 minute hike, incredible views all round"
