"Located right outside Oj Pejeta. Room was comfortable but had no heat, so it was a bit chilly in the morning. We found several large bugs in the room and hair in the shower. There were not very many options for food and it wasn't that great. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Ok for one night, but if staying for longer would probably look for somewhere else to stay. "

"We had a wonderful stay for a couple days at Sweetwater. It was the second stop on our safari. Our tent was very comfortable. This area was much cooler than our first stop and cooler than Nairobi. As a welcome surprise, when our attendants turned down our beds, they added two hot-water bottles to pre-warm the bed. The first night they were much appreciated but the next two nights were not as cold. The beds were very comfortable and the full bathrooms with hot showers were greatly appreciated. Meals were very good. The bar was amply supplied. Everyone was so nice and very helpful. Kudos to the staff. Well done."

"The hotel was terrible, didn't get value for my money. My Xmas was the most boring with no activities for the day or night. The dining hall looked squeezed, food and drinks order took more than an hour for a common dawa. The kids didn't have any variety of entertainment and had to look for something to do."

"Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a world class safari option, but it is becoming very expensive - particularly the accommodation options, which is why Sweetwaters Serena is always our top choice in Kenya - it is such good value for money. Apart from the location, the outstanding feature is undoubtedly the amazing staff - every one of them. The food is excellent - amazing variety, and so many options. The standard tents offer everything you need, and the luxury ones truly are luxurious. A big thank you to everyone of the staff - you make such a difference to the experience, and we are always truly grateful."
