"The hotel is very well located and honestly everything seemed perfect. The problem here was the hygiene. The closets smelled musty, the blankets/sheets inside the bed were FULL OF HAIR, meaning they just put a clean blanket over the dirty one. The wooden floor made the room shake quite a bit and noisy. The balcony was great with an impeccable view. Otherwise, the staff and the place were spectacular."

"The hotel has a great location, within walking distance of the city center square, monastery, and the famous seafood market, just a 2-minute walk away. The castle requires a boat, but it's not far and costs €5. The newly renovated hotel was very clean and tidy. Although the interior space was slightly cramped, the design ensured excellent privacy, and the rooms were spacious and bright, making for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was plentiful, and the coffee was strong. There were two minor drawbacks: firstly, there was no elevator, but the front desk staff were very helpful with luggage – the young lady at the front desk was incredibly efficient, carrying my 30kg suitcase up and down stairs! Secondly, the Wi-Fi signal was weak, although it seemed like the network was slow throughout Setubal. Overall, a very positive experience!"

"A simple but well run and very comfortable hotel more or less in the city centre. Spotlessly clean ; easy and free parking right in front of the hotel ; lovely and helpful staff ; excellent breakfast choice and quality ; and ( literally ! ) five minutes walk from a bunch of reasonably good but inexpensive restaurants. A problem with the lock on our bedroom door was solved within a few minutes even though it was Sunday afternoon. Terrific value for money and we wouldn't hesitate, not for a second, to go back there next time we're in Setubal."

"With low-cost public parking next to the church 100 metres away, the apartment is easy to locate, even if the stairs up to the second floor are rather steep. The apartment itself has been refurbished to a high standard, with a good bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen & lots of delightful 'character' touches. Turn left out of the front door & you'll find a wine bar / cafe 20 metres away. It's very popular with ex-pats & visitors because they offer an all-you-can-eat cheese & meat buffet with table wine for €10 per head. Sociable, friendly & recommended."
